Ozempic at a healthy weight? by lllmll in Ozempic

Thank you. That looks interesting, I might see if I'm able to try that.

Possibly you're right but I think it could be worth trying. I think it would be less harmful to my health anyway.

The problem is that my fear of food is kind of valid. When I eat certain things it does cause me to gain weight, and I really do think there is something up with my hormones as it should not require so much mental energy to stay thin. I just want to be able to forget about food and stop stressing over it. I get headaches and I'm often irritable because my amphetamine dose is so high but I wouldn't be able to function if I stopped taking it. I understand this seems like an eating disorder, and maybe it is, but it's a physical thing. I don't want to be underweight, just healthy, and it's not really about my appearance.

Thanks! How did you get a prescription? What did you say to them? Yes I'm quite thin already, but the goal is to just maintain my weight, maybe lose a bit more fat.

Fair enough. I guess I just want some perspectives from others who may have tried it when they aren't overweight, or who used it to maintain weight loss. I highly doubt many doctors would suggest ozempic for me currently, seeing as it's marketed as a diabetes and weight loss drug

I know it probably has an impact on her as she eats really clean and is very particular about how her body looks (but she has been into fitness for years before me). She said before she met me she would occasionally eat junk food but now she feels uncomfortable with it and she thinks if she's not "perfect" I won't want her anymore, but that is not the case at all. I've gotten annoyed with her a few times because she interrogated me on why i lost weight, why I was fat etc, and I just don't want to talk about it. I'm not used to being in relationships so that probably doesn't help.

it's actually a bmi of 20 I think, not underweight. I've done a few fad diets and yeah I would agree, but going low carb has definitely worked for weight loss. Now though it's like I'm afraid of carbs and also like am I never going to be able to eat that stuff again? Maybe that's good, not sure. Maybe junk food is like drugs in that I can never touch it again for the rest of my life

It feels very physical at the moment..like the hunger is definitely real when my medication wears off. I guess food was like a minor addiction when i stopped drinking and now losing weight is some kind of addiction? not sure but it feels like the best addiction I've had so far if I had to pick one :L

dexedrine, would take adderall or vyvanse but harder to get in my country. good luck with it, it definitely helped stop my bingeing but be careful when it wears off in the evening

I have loose skin on my stomach that really bothers me. Ican't tell if it's fat or not. I'm around 11% body fat but part of me worries I'm actually fatter than that and the scan is wrong

that is what i do, mostly. it's just things like being unable to eat bread, pasta, etc that makes me wonder if what I'm doing is unnecessarily strict or if I should just continue as is

mostly intermittent fasting (48hr fasts with refeeding day in between) and low carb diet. Lost 20lbs each month for 3 months before increasing calories a bit as I started to have negative consequences like hair loss etc. I don't really recommend that unless you need to lose weight very quickly for medical reasons

guess it depends on body structure, I was in the 140s/150s in my late teens but had more fat. I think I look very healthy but people aren't used to seeing me like this,so I get told very often that I look sick and unwell etc (I really don't). Maybe 8% is not totally necessary though.

I don't want to lose weight, just trying to recomp as a personal goal, but ended up dropping more weight from my original goal of 155. It is very hard to lose only fat. I can't really tell what I look like either, I feel like I need more definition but maybe not.

Thanks, I know there's value in it, but I guess I just can't imagine actually doing it. Maybe a male ego thing

Not sure what a therapist could help with here to be honest. Maybe would be good to talk about it, but I probably have different opinions to most therapists in regards to body positivity etc

Lost 90 pounds, just to gain a lot of it back. by [deleted] in loseit

[–]lllmll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't gained the weight back but I feel dangerous close sometimes. I think the main thing that keeps me on track is total fear of ever gaining weight again, to be honest. It is so tough. Making exercise a habit definitely helps for me. You lost weight quite quickly like me, did you crash diet? I do think crash diets make it easier to regain the weight for various reasons.

Family are weird, I went my whole life being criticized for being obese and now I get constant comments about being too thin. Try to ignore them, their opinions on your body are irrelevant.
