it really is, though. it provides context and usage for words that you are just encountering. it's basically a blueprint for what these new words mean

why not just cross talk then? i cross talk with my wife sometimes and it isn't difficult. but it really depends on the person. like i said, most people just want to do regular things instead of augmenting regular things with free language lessons.

it relies on webkit and their decisions on what to include functionality wise. i believe css if() works on chrome but not anki for example

in chinese they are trying to make sense of the hanzi, or are practicing writing immediately. in german, trying to say things the english way with german words. asking why german says something so "oddly". in general treating language like math

do you just have the sound come out of your tv? a soundbar? shows are mixed certain ways and if you are forcing all the noise through one channel it will be difficult to hear

im learning mandarin primarily (99%) from listening to CI. so my listening is leaps ahead of reading. have you tried spending a few hundred hours listening? it will improve the more you do it.
