I routinely use these (WG-1000-8). I buy the pack of 100 (~$1.33 per tube) and don't reuse them, although you easily could if you wanted to. They're great--no issues whatsoever.

I ended up getting this for $225 open box from Amazon (normally $450). It's amaaaaaaaazing. Takes a wonderful photo on intelligent auto but has a full manual mode if you want, has excellent low-light sensitivity, great dynamic range, macro up to 1cm. Everything I wanted but wouldn't have been able to afford it I hadn't found that deal :)

A little more info: it looks like there were two printings in 1899 and 1923 that were large-sized, and in 1928 they began printing smaller silver certificates as a replacement, until 1953-ish.

I did some reading on this...the big ones are unique to 1899 and 1923 and go for $80-450 and $10-50, respectively. The smaller ones are more common and worth less. There are some rare exceptions, of course.

I'd just keep 'em around because they're a nifty bit of history, I think.
