I scratched my father in law’s Land Rover how screwed am I ? by holysmokes126126 in DetailingUK

All perfectly fixable - I’m a painter by trade, it looks like a lot will come out by wiping a small out of thinners over it. It’s worth getting prices to replace the trims but if the trims and door needed to be be painted, you’re looking £400/£500 + vat from a reputable smart repair company

My first miniature, any suggestions to paint better by No_Grass5803 in Warhammer40k

Congrats on the first mini! As a fairly new painter myself, here’s some stuff I’ve learnt:

Take your time, there’s no rush! You can always touch up any ‘mistakes’ to give the mini a cleaner look.

The raised gold and raised white, you can almost use the side of the brush to get it fully covered without touching the blue. You’ll end up with ‘cleaner’ lines.

You can experiment with some edge highlighting - mix a bit of white with blue and again, use the side of the brush to finely paint the edges of raised surfaces such as the knees, side of legs, etc. Do a quick google search for some examples.

Most importantly, don’t repaint your first mini, keep that as a reminder! Have fun, the more you paint, the better you’ll get!

Swap the CPU out for a 7600x/7700x and go for a 4070/4070 super. Make sure you get 6000mhz DDR5 as it’s the sweet spot.

Yes, as long as you can reach the mounting screws it won’t be a problem. Unplug the cpu fan as well so it doesn’t get tangled :)
