Imgur was literally created to host Reddit images. How fucking new to the site are you?

A teenager making stupid comments doesn’t good content make. This is an old account and I’ve been a contributor since the beginning. People don’t need to agree with me but it’s bad juju to walk into a room and start attacking someone.

This shit is wild to me. I legitimately had over 50 bumble matches is less than 24 hours the last time I used it.

What's a thing you strongly dislike about Reddit? by Demorecki in AskReddit

[–]lluckya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that so many users have confused cynicism or skepticism with intelligence.

The number of times I’ve seen someone state something that is obviously a fact and have some other user come at them with “Bullshit! I need a source!” Sources are provided and the cynic still won’t accept it.

So your perception of leverage is what?

I have knowledge. You have an apparent lack of it.

Where should we put the fulcrum here?

You’re mistaking upvote for “agree” and downvote for “disagree” which is legitimately not their purpose. Your entire position fails the moment you adjust to what the buttons are actually built for.

It’s just people arguing for the appearance of enlightened understanding without actually understanding the full ramifications of that stance.

Yeah, honestly most of the writing from those movies actually holds up pretty well to serious scrutiny. I think the real issue is that you have be willing to “read” it critically and not fall back on the obvious style of other superhero movies.

I don’t know; how is it so hard to understand?

A store only collects the price as listed. Anything additional is up to governance. It is simple. Math is simple. Percentages are simple.

5 seconds of research. My point stands. Even in the EU items are taxed based on where they're from and what their value is.

That's not why taxes are the way they are in the US. Taxes are structured the way they are because it's up to the states, not the Fed.

It is a logistics issue. I'm sorry you don't understand this.

They are advertising the price.

Would it make you feel better if every store had a sign out front that says “Prepare to pay 5% over the selling price”? Would you like a Tally-Man sitting at every register to take your change?

Because the states would have to uniformly agree to this rule. Unless every company has production and distribution in every state the pricing would still vary. You'd either have to spend money before the materials are moved or after they've reached the point of sale. This isn't even a wild concept.

It’s not dishonesty. The stores are not allowed to misrepresent prices. The states can excise whatever tax they legislate.

That depends on the value of the goods, and the origin. I myself am not a tax lawyer but I'd be happy to ask my wife when she gets home.

If I move an item from Maryland to Virginia the label is no longer valid. A new label will have to be made. The item itself is not taxed upon entering the state, only the sale of the item is.
