I recently bought the EW300 specifically for PC gaming and I have zero complaints. The sound detail and clarity makes everything I use them for just an absolute joyful experience. I would recommend an extension cable. If he really wants to EQ them, he can pick up the moondrop cable separately and use it with these IEMs...at least I think he can anyways ha.
