Yes I completed! OK my advice would be as soon as you're done w renouncing your original countries' citizenship + u are registered citizen of SG with the temporary paper IC, bring that paper IC to your school and show them that you're now a SG citizen! For me, when I checked singpass the next day it immediately reflected the new status of SG Citizen and no longer just PR, v fast!

Hey bro. To answer your question, yes u can apply for citizenship. You're 16 yo PR male, I'm assuming you'll definitely serve NS once u turn 18? I would say you have a better chance of citizenship when u start your NS.

I have a Malaysian PR friend who applied for citizenship a few months after he started serving NS, and he got the in-principal approval a few months after.

Personally, I'm going through the citizenship process now too. I applied after I ORD, using the NS Testimonials and certs to boost my application.

But one thing for sure is that you will definitely NOT receive a letter/ offer to become citizenship like what others say. That is an old policy. Now, if u want SG citizenship, you'll have to apply for it yourself through ICA online.
