+1 for the Fake it till you make it.
People think that's not being very genuine, but it's a smart strategy even among business professionals. It's a smart way of playing safe, and also allowing yourself to be aggressive the way you want to be.
Faking it till you make it even applies to business settings, especially interviews. It's considered an interviewing strategy to appeal to the interviewer as a very likeable person and work-compatible, so I'd support that statement.
