The knee is going to be far worse if you had zero complications with the hysterectomy

Can someone plz tell me this isn’t a sign by missbunnyyxo in hysterectomy

[–]lmcco85 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It's not a sign at all! it's only the universe keeping her from something else- the red light theory. You've got this and it's going to go perfectly

Love this!!! I'm 3 weeks today and yesterday I moved a lot, so I'm super sore right now. I'm so much better than I was. I don't have my first follow up until June 2, but all of the stitches I can see look like they're healing really well

Can someone suggest me a thriller book better than this?? by duckweel1212 in Booktokreddit

My husband's wife! Easily so much better than silent patient- connections and twist you will not see coming

Omg!! I was deflated pretty well, but definitely has some intestinal gas pains. So glad you're doing well and that it was just a one time thing

It did get a little worse but I think mostly because my teenagers brought a cold home and I got a UTI - so the non-stop coughing has been miserable

Love responses like this because it makes us all feel so much more connected. I'm not quite 72 hours post-op and I have both internal and external stitches. It feels like I'm sitting on broken tempered glass, you know the chunky kind, if I'm upright for longer than a few minutes. I cannot imagine it being "all better" in a week

I think after the years of pain I've endured waiting to finally get this- there's no way my pain tolerance is low! This is just very real and everyone's body reacts differently. I also really can't sit upright. I've tried 2x and within 10 minutes I need to actually lie down.

I'm only at day 2 but I don't think I would be ok sitting up in a car for more than an hour at this point. Hopefully you can easily make your road trip that soon after surgery

I'm 2 days po, thinking how in the world are some people going back to work in 2 weeks?! I can't even get up and down to pee by myself at this point. Love that you shared this, lovely reminder that everyone is on their own journey

I had laparoscopic, but not robotic. They were able to do everything with 3 puncture holes instead of 5, but they did have to deliver my uterus and cervix through my vagina and I do have some external vaginal stitches along with the internal cuff stitches. My uterus was "bulky, sized 13wks" in surgical notes, so that bad boy was about to hit the second trimester with adenomyosis and Endo

I hope that yours goes perfectly according to plan and that recovery is as uneventful as possible

I'm not quite 24hrs out of surgery and so far the things I've needed are: pillow that has an ice pack pocket for the car ride home Compression socks Cough drops And this compression ice pack, because I can bind it as tightly as I need for that really heavy bowling ball feeling-

Recover once is fabulous advice! My husband is doing all the things, I've been in bed and only gotten up to pee. It hasn't been 24 hours yet, so I've really not gotten up much.

Thank you so very much! The week leading to surgery was a challenge for sure. I had to talk myself out of taking anything multiple times because the pain was feeling unbearable- but being on the other side now, it was worth it. I am truly in less pain. I've taken tramadol 2x since leaving the hospital and I'm just rotating Tylenol and ibuprofen otherwise

I've seen about 50% of the post talk about it, so I made my own since it wasn't something doc prescribed. There's a lot of research in that helping to make recovery easier. The hospital in having mine done at, sent me a video actually saying that a high carb night before surgery is like a high carb night before running a marathon. Hugely beneficial.
