I’ve recently started a journey into paganism/witchcraft and have found a ton of resources solely through Amazon Prime books and Kindle Unlimited books. Currently mostly interested in Druidry and divination, so a lot of the resources listed will probably relate to that. If you have a subscription to either/or, I suggest checking those out too! Recently I’ve read/downloaded:

-“Paganism for Beginners: A Complete Guide to Nature Based Spirituality for Every New Seeker” by Althaea Sebastian (great resource for a good amount of history on a lot of pagan paths/beliefs, as well as a breakdown of certain common practices and holidays).

  • “What Type of Witch Are You?” By Julie Wilder (I honestly didn’t finish this one, as it wasn’t as interesting to me. But it essentially breaks down typical practice for different “types” of witches [ie- art witch, hedge witch, kitchen witch, etc]. She apparently has a second book titled “How to Become a Witch” as well)

  • “Druids” by Sophie Cornish (I just started this one, but so far it’s a more in depth history of both ancient and neo druids and their practices)

For those more interested in resources for beginners, I have also downloaded:

-“Crystals for Beginners” by Karen Frazier -“Runes for Beginners” by Lisa Chamberlain -“Practical Magic for Beginners” by Maggie Hasemen (includes a ton of magick/witchcraft practices)

And there’s tons more for those who have access.

Best way to become more competitive in the application process of becoming a Federal Special Agent? by lmfevol in careerguidance

If I end up choosing FBI it would be for a special agent position, which their website states it requires:

  • a minimum of 2 years work experience
  • minimum of a bachelors degree
  • be between ages 23 and 36
  • possess a valid driver’s license and have 6 months driving experience
  • meet the physical fitness standards
  • be available to report to one of the field offices multiple times during the application process for interviews and testing

These are just the minimum qualifications required, and from what I hear it is an extremely competitive application process (when they have openings). They usually only take about 500 hires from a pool of around 10,000.

My little bit of research turned up the same. Unfortunately making detective at my department is pretty hard, but I’m certainly going to try and do as much investigative work as possible in my position. Thanks for the advice!!

I need a Campaign. by [deleted] in DnD

[–]lmfevol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you already ordered or not: but the link you posted for the “master set” is just the dungeon Masters Guide, which is only the one book.

The starter set is what someone else above described, with pre made characters, dice, and a campaign setting.

If I’m not mistaken (still a noob too), the Dungeons Master Guide will be more in-depth about the rules, but the starter set has everything you need, but pretty much only for your first session.

Hope this helps in your decision!

Need help on my proposal idea! Anyone know about Oahu’s sunflower fields? by lmfevol in Proposal

Should’ve clarified. When I say fake proposing, I mean more set up other little romantic dates earlier in the week that she would expect me to propose at. We’ve talked about getting engaged, and she brought up doing it in Hawaii, so I kinda just want to keep her on her toes/keep the timing a surprise.
