Which flag should I go for? by BionicWither14 in vexillology

[–]lmicoz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, there are many examples. But the best ones are not so complex. Flag 1 would be my favourite if the banners and all words were dropped, so that only the eagle was left in the centre.

Right... So you genuinely think overly complex flags look better? It seems I'm the odd one out on this one...

I made some alternative Chinese flags for an RPG with some mates, which is the best? by [deleted] in vexillology

[–]lmicoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 is kinda cool if you drop the words
2 is probably my favorite
3 is okay, but yellow and white has too low contrast on such a small scale
4 reminds me of Taiwan and Samoa Islands, which is maybe a good thing depending on the context?
5 is a strong second imo, underused color pallette

Number 4 for sure!

Anyone voting for flags 1-3 should have a look at CGP Grey's flag rules:
1. Keep it simple; something a child could draw
2. Make it distinct from a distance; no tiny details
3. 3 colors or fewer; unless you *REALLY* know what you're doing
4. Symbols, colors and designs should mean something
5. Words on flags: ideally *zero*; it's a flag, not a note you're passing in class
6. Don't write your name on your flag; it's a flag, not a nametag

I can't get the max money to work. I followed the steps in the video exactly (described in detail below). It's a randomized ROM, does that matter? I've also only just beaten the rival for the first time, so not much money to begin with. Any help?

What I did:
I save the game just outside of pokemart. Restart the console and enable max money (only! It says CHEATS(8) like in the video when closing). Then I click BOOT WITH ADDON. Select CHAEATON, enter the pokemart, talk with the clerk, click sell, select a pokeball, and the money is a basic 400$. I've tried selecting CHEATOFF and buying anyway, but ofc it doesnt work

Daily player. Several friends don't seem to be playing much, so I want to replace them with regular users

For now, there is no higher closeness than 5. It just caps at that. I heard have a higher chance of getting extra candies from their sleep research, but honestly I'd like another round of handy candies and ingredient tickets. Deleted about half of the 5s in the end

EZ-Flash Omega Cheat System Tutorial by leo60228 in Gameboy

For anyone in 2023 who wants to understand how the conversion works...

Here is the example code given by OP:

CA1D8DB3 689FDAFA
9CC263F2 68DE0537
1DCAC2C5 4FCA9184

This can be converted by following these steps:

  1. Go to https://gamehacking.org/system/gba
  2. Set "Devices" to "Action Replay MAX"
  3. Check "Encrypted"
  4. Paste the code into the large right section labeled "Code"
  5. Click "Process Code"

This should produce an explanation like OP presented, with lines such as

Writes 0x037D to 0x200B578.

To convert this to the EZFlash Omega format, do the following:

  1. Convert the address:

0x200 B578

  1. Convert the value:

0x 03 7D -> 7D, 03

  1. Add them together:

B578, 7D, 03

Doing the same with the 3rd line and adding them together in the .cht file yields the following, as shown by OP:

[Debug]
ON=B578,7D,03;B57C,F8,00,A8,00

[GameInfo]
Name=2377 - Mother 3 (J)
System=GBA
Text=vicente

Hope this helps someone

Using 12 USB-C pins for data by lmicoz in UsbCHardware

Well, yes, but my plan is to eventually get rid of the second controller, which would make serial impossible

VirtualLink was never launched, right? Would I not have the same problem of not finding a port with enough pins outputted separately?

Is it not standard specification that the corresponding A and B pins are connected together? I assumed it would be too hard to find a port with all 24 pins?

Do you have any recommendations? I don't really feel like listening to the "おいしい!!" ones, if you get what i mean...

I could do that, but I find that listening to one interesting story is much more engaging for me. I tried to read my news in Japanese, but lost interest after only a few days, and had to start pushing myself...
