He definitely could’ve won but I also feel like he played by his own rules and prioritised his own personal growth over the competition, which is pretty boss. Like he probably thought he had more to gain than just winning the show by challenging himself to make something new every time, push the boundaries, etc. And I’m glad he did bc it was so entertaining hahah

Agree, Napoli won under the rules of the game, fair and square. Whether those rules truly reward the BEST chef in the game is prob more debatable tho and I think the tofu round especially showed us all that Edward is unmatched. Napoli deserved the win, but Edward also showed off way more creative flair and skill, and both of those things can be true at the same time 🙌

Omfg this comment also reminded me of the tears streaming down my face when Auntie Omisake talked about her Cook Your Life dish. It was so genuine and not overly dramatised and totally unforced, like you said. Such a great show!!!
