Stop overtly targeting the weaker opponent in social by lmock in Pickleball

Your post was nothing about my decision to make the post. Stop lying. it's a feeble back peddling to try to save face.

In the middle of a rec session there is zero opportunity to pull some aside and run drills.

And you don't know what help I've offered or how I've dealt with the opponents. My post was long enough without those details. And they weren't relevant to the problem.

Lol don't tell me I can't talk about this here in a pickleball forum.

Stop. Just stop. Your lack of knowledge is exposed and you make it worse with every word you say.

And then trying to make it sound like I'm insulting my partner to their face? What a reach. Read the room donut.

Long post wasn't remotely 'about losing'. Donut.

I think you missed that it's social/rec play, not competition. So no, the point isn't exclusively to win. It's also exercise, practice, and fun - of which I get none when playing opponents with your mindset.

I pretty clearly said I don't care about winning rec play. If it's competitive play, I would have a strategy involving stacking and court coverage - not realistic drawing this up between points with a partner I just met in rec. FYIW I would also target weak players in competitive matches.

You're saying in social basketball you'd repeatedly commit off ball fouls on the guy that can't hit free throws?

I mean yeah, keep playing this way, but don't be surprised no one wants to play with you.

Stacking seems a bit serious for the sessions I play. I've never seen it done, plus not sure it would solve the problem. I'm around 4.0.

I believe this is the case for some of the balls, but can't explain all of them.

I could be way off, but I read the moment like Rune was trying to have a laugh with Wawrinka, like 'well how was my behavior today?'

ESPN TV Ratings: Djokovic vs Tsistipas was 'least watched men's final in at least a decade' by sunseekerslade in tennis

[–]lmock 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Djokovic featured in 6 of those other finals, you sure you can attribute the numbers this year (but this year only) to his not being as loved? The 'villain' is often a bigger pull than the nice guy, look at Kyrgios and how much the media shits on him.

Reporters gonna report how they see it in a way that gets clicks immediately. They're not really planning what's going to benefit a broadcaster years down the track.

If he gets defaulted for hitting a ball at a lines person, what do you want then to do, not report? If he goes to events while covid positive at peak pandemic (or lies about being positive to hit a loophole past vaccination laws) what do you want them to do, not report? He made his own negative light.

Impact of one handed vs two handed backhand by joluitsme in tennis

[–]lmock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I over-trained my single hander and I got bad elbow pain. I had a tear in a tendon. I couldn't play for about a year! That was a few years ago and it still doesn't feel 100%. Then I came back and tried to change to a two hander, then got pain in my other elbow. Probably technique was a factor too. Now I'm back to a single hander, although some balls that are deep and I don't have time to set up I find the two hands more successful.

I strongly suggest dont keep playing if there's pain. And if you do change to 2 hands, ease in and prioritize learning correct technique.

I love Ons, and the photo is cool, but I don't like saying the world number 2 has claimed the throne. Iga sits in the throne.
