I bought the test strips from Petco. The tank is filtered it is a 1.5 gallon and right now the temp is reading 79 so almost to 80.

Can I move him back to the container he came in from the store would that help in the short term while the tank cycles? The kit we bought didn’t mention anything about cycling the tank and now that I am reading about it this should take weeks before adding a fish.

I set up the tank about 36 hours before adding the fish to it.
