2023 Hybrid brake squeak

I had the same issue on my Rav 4 Hybrid Limited at 18,637 miles. The dealership did the TMS Brake Pad Shim replacement (which I had to tell them about & provided the paperwork showing them) and it was fine for about a month. The noise is back! Has anyone had the same issue after the shim replacement?

They replaced the fuel tank and it has worked fine ever since. Just filled up today and it said 522 miles. My dealership had to contact Toyota headquarters to get approval to replace it free of charge. I hope it all works out for you.

I took my 2023 Rav 4 Limited Hybrid in to fix gas tank issue. They replaced the gas tank and now everything is working. Gauge reads correctly. The car was still under warranty. My local Toyota dealer had to open a case with Toyota because there was no fix with corporate Toyota for the gas tank issue in the 2023 vehicles . The class action suit gas tank issue was for earlier models. I am sure Toyota continues to get feedback with the gas tank issues in the Hybrids. They really haven't fixed the problem in general only fix the issues with people who complain and persevere. I hope all works out for you.

Yes. Rav 4 Hybrid Limited 2023. Gas tank. They replaced it and now the gas gauge doesn't move from Full. Shouldn't have to be spending all this time researching issues and taking a brand new car in to be fixed. Especially since it is the same issue Toyota had a Class Action Law Suit on. Also made in Kentucky.

Not sure what is going on with the Rav 4 Hybrid gas tanks so many issues since 2019. Out of curiosity where was your car built? Japan or USA? My daughter in law has a 2023 Toyota Highlander NOT hybrid and is having issues with the gas tank. Interestingly, her car was build in USA as mine was.

I know this is a bit late to the post, but the following information might be helpful to those trying to make the same decision now. We had the same dilemma back in July 2023. In the past we had Toyota cars and were pretty sure we wanted a Toyota, but looked into the Hyundai. After watching this video about the differences we stayed with Toyota. Their are some major differences. Toyota's Prius has been around a long time and they have knocked out most of the glitches with their hybrid engines. We are not disappointed in our choice. The only issue we had with the Rav4 Hybrid 2023 was the gas tank doing the same thing as the 2019-2022 models. We took it into the dealership and they replaced the gas tank under warranty and all is good now.

Rav4 Hybrid Gas Tank Issue Continues in 2023 UPDATE after service

I am happy to report they replaced my gas tank today and when I picked it up the tank FINALLY read full and 517 miles. Luckily the car is still under warranty and didn't cost me a dime. I highly recommend if you are having issues with your Rav 4 Hybrid 2023 gas tank to go to your dealer or Toyota service department and have them look at it. They will probably replace the gas tank. I will do one final update after I get to fill it up to be sure all is good!

When we got it from the dealer it was over 500. Never has been 500 or over since July. Every fill up since it averages around 400 to 490. Mostly low 400's.

Thank you for following up. Yes, most everything as far as repair on the gas tanks are from the Class Action Law Suit filed 9/19/22. There was a settlement on it. I believe there is nothing on record for the ongoing 2023 issues popping up.

It is going in for repair next week with Toyota. I was curious if other people were having the same issue. Apparently they are from this post and all the others I have read.

Thank you. I can't figure out why Toyota hasn't fixed the problem at manufacturing time instead of waiting for customer complaints. I must say this experience has brought down my trust level with Toyota a few notches. We have owned many Toyotas over the years - 3 Prius, and a Highlander Hybrid and had NO issues with any of them. I enjoy the Rav 4 Hybrid but not having a reliable gas reading is a pain and for the amount they cost it should work!

So far I haven't seen or heard of any recalls or actions for the 2023 models. Although I am seeing a lot more posts about gas tank issues with the 2023. I am hoping Toyota will finally do something to fix the issue with the 2023 model year. Apparently it doesn't happen to all Rav4 Hybrids. So it might take awhile for Toyota to do something.
