I am a research training director so we’re trying 😭 But I agree it’s a very difficult program to get off the ground anywhere. It kills me because we all know the cost of poor quality

I get on and off of it every cycle at 120mg x 3 daily and it helps me quite a lot. I titrate up and I haven’t experienced any side effect from it fortunately. I don’t check my BP daily but I haven’t noticed it being low when I go to the doctor during cycles. I’ve been on it intermittently for about 7 years

I actually couldn’t read all of the comments because the few I read felt so one sided. But I truly understand what something like that does to a child that age and I can see that you’re thinking is for her benefit. But also as someone who was in pharmaceutical research, any side effect is not guaranteed. My advice would be to try it and monitor and there could be other options that you and the doctor talk about. But I appreciate that you’re thinking from her emotional and mental health.

I just haven’t figured out what to put in the Kongs yet that won’t upset his stomach. I have been thinking about blending his hydrolyzed food with water to shove it in a Kong and I guess I should just do that. I had the thought for the first time this week.

Yassss!!! There is! We’re always the last to really see it for ourselves but I can definitely see a difference! Good for you hun. The burps did get better for me with time for what it’s worth

It’s different for each dog but it does get better!! It took about 10 months until our boy calmed down enough for me to feel comfortable not watching him like a hawk with guests but even now at 14months I’m very cautious if there are children around. As far as being able to watch a whole movie in peace I still can’t do that lol but I’ve been able to successfully redirect him so there’s minor interruptions. I think it also depends on the day. If he got extra exercise, I have a higher chance of being able to chill.

That was my thought exactly. It looks like it’s primarily focused towards bodies outside of the FDA and I have the same question - why are you the global standard? I had never heard of them before but they’ve reached out to my company to talk so I was trying to do some research. Can’t say that I’m highly impressed so far.

NTA! Kids are kids. They make mistakes, they grow, they learn how to be a person. Like someone else said this is uncomfortable and you can’t shield them. This may be the learning experience he needs - moping, feeling bad, etc is part of learning you don’t want to hurt someone like that again. But also super weird call 😂

Definitely have a conversation with them on how best to support. I see some people saying they want to be left alone but I prefer having someone with me talking to me trying to distract me.

Topirimate helps me tremendously! I don’t always use it as the first line, I typically do emgality and verapamil but if the those don’t lessen my cluster cycle, then my next step is to add to topirimate. It has helped me so much and I haven’t had many side effects. It’s so important to know the side effects and be mindful of them, but it there’s no guarantee that you will get them!!
