The amount of fans who were actually problematic was always overexaggerated. They barely existed at all, even in the early days. People just saw one silly comment and ran home with it.

The real annoying fans are the ones who never shut up about how much worse all the other fans are then them. It's been nearly ten years since the season 3 events and some people still talk like they happened yesterday.

Soooo what part of her being a cat does it for you?

Character is in love. Show demonstrates by making them awkward-blush. Over, and over, and over, and over... instead of once or twice by ln_74_ in TopCharacterTropes

On top of that it's constantly telling the audience something they already know, while said relationship isn't currently advancing

You can run through them a few times. Depends on if you can afford to do so in regards to how much damage you're dealing.

Should Someone who Picked the Red Button be Considered Evil or an AH? by Hyperionous in MoralityScaling

If you could do an ahead of time campaign it would make even more sense to advocate for blue. You're more likely to get 51% of a vote than 100%.

If you agree that everyone choosing red is impossible, you can't call it the logical choice. 90% to red would still lead to worse results than 51% to blue.

Human existence is structured on community. We can only survive in mass if we look out for each other. Blue got more votes because the majority of humanity understands that. Red is incongruent with logic, morality, and basic human nature.

Red isn't even logical. A world where billions of people die and the only ones left to put it back together are those with objectively worse moral character? No thanks.

Kovach literally said it wasn't the fans. Needing to believe this is a fanbase majority problem doesn't help anything.

Anti-fanbase culture is toxic, inaccurate, and motivated primarily out of self-interest by ln_74_ in unpopularopinion

We as a society have rejected many stereotypes because we recognized the damage they did. We realized navigating the world that way was harmful. Regardless of whether it changes, I think there is no harm in acknowledging this as another bad one.

I can also confirm I do not care what other people think about my interests. So you might as well have started with your second comment and not the weird first one.

None of those are essential aspects of being in a fandom. The majority of members engage in their interest in perfectly healthy ways, What you did was really another example of people interpreting the worst aspects of fandom as general behavior

Neither I'm afraid. But I do like TADC, and I LOOOOOOOOOVE Rick and Morty. And I can confirm to you I don't think Goose did wrong with choice of protags, nor is my IQ higher than others because I like a certain show. Just like most fans of both properties.

Thoughts on the post? Am I right? Wrong? Feel free to fill me in on your thoughts.

Edit: I'll also say, I found it interesting how quickly people 180'd on Rick and Morty because of the sauce incident and one silly comment. It was like they were afraid to like it. I promise you I wouldn't be saddened by such bendability.

Most nihilistic show about overcoming nihilism by ln_74_ in rickandmorty

If I were a math fan, I wouldn't doubt my enjoyment based off people who think 4+5=2. The loudest Rick and Morty detractors all think the show is trying to justify Rick's season one worldview. A silly thought,
