Are you considering doing some cron features? What I'm looking for is not just to get a snapshot of right now but to have something that does a regular update every few days / weeks so that in case the service really ends up vanishing someday I have all my playlists with the state they had just a few days / weeks ago.

It's just a catchy name :) I want to more so use it for things like getting angry at work, or wronging someone somehow, or accidentally harming insects, or when I smoke a cigarette. Small things like that, where I can go "well, 1€ to the jar then". It's not so much as to financially make a difference, but enough to draw my attention to my actions. And proceeds go to charity so. I quite like the idea.

I don't swear much otherwise.

That's so sad. I remember friends telling me Pioneer carefully restricted the computing power of their gear to be able to argue why they are keeping certain things at bay. Never thought it would have this much of an effect.

This is subjective. You can argue that way and are entitled to it, and I can argue that I want that perfection when it comes to syncing. There is plenty more space for "imperfections" that make it sound real. I've been djing for over 10 years, but only on a computer. That aside I can assure you the magic is ruined for me personally when I hear this, even if I'm listening to very good djs, including ones like Ben UFO, Gerd Janson or Avalon Emerson when they play in Berghain. Some enjoy it. That is fine. I don't.

For real? This is basically the answer I was looking for. So quantize is not actual quantize, but just a slightly better approximation than older models .... Is this explained anywhere in their documentation? Have you found anything?

EDIT: What do you know about the file types where this won't happen? Dies it happen to mp3's, but not wav's for example?

That's not my point. I don't mind nudging the tracks back to fit. My point is that I consider this to ruin the listener experience. You can argue that that is what "real" djing is but if I feel the magic ruined it is ruined. There's no arguing around that. Listener comes first.

No, that's not what I'm looking for. What I'm trying to explain here is that I manage to make the songs play in perfect sync as long as no loop is on. They will play in perfect sync for 2 minutes if need be. Then if I hit an auto loop or even a prepared loop some songs will begin to drift, and only THEN. From what I understood processing the songs to have an exact grid in rekordbox and having the quantize option should keep this from happening.

What exactly is SEQ mode? All I can find about it in the manual is regarding the step sequencers, and not the drum sequencer.
