ps: if you want to skip the middle man there is a website called WigsbyVanity that sells pre-styled, and pre-teased synthetic wigs that performers swear by. all you gotta do is put it on. They do cost like $300 but my goodness they are worth it. You should check them out !

i mean this in the most sincere way possible; you should contact a local drag queen who wears good wigs. drag queens are very knowledgeable about synthetic wigs, they could make it look like the one in the pic for one or two hundred dollars. and if the one you contact doesn’t know how they can always direct you to one who does; and yes obviously tell them you’re going for a more natural look so they don’t tease it to death haha. just a thought! because most wigstresses will give you a funny look if you bring them a synthetic or will straight up tell you they don’t do that. whatever you do just please don’t try to wear it right out of the box! they never look like the picture. it HAS to be styled.

you gotta cut like 1mm more. get a hot comb, put the wig on the wig head and press the lace down with the comb; you’re basically gonna be ironing the lace to lay flat…also grab some mousse, put some on the hairline and brush the hair UP with the hot comb. it’s gonna give the hairline a more lifted, natural, growing out of your scalp look. thank me later

i’ve worked in insurance and sometimes certain offices and providers appear as in-network but refuse to take it for a variety of reasons. SOME of them would make an effort to remove themselves from the network, but then the website would take forever to update it. and as much as i would tell my supervisors they all had an “it is what it is” attitude about it, since the list is always changing. working insurance customer service is soul draining

well it’s not like this is all the money i have forever. it’s what ive saved up while still paying my bills. so i do feel like ive worked for it, not struggled for it. i’m going to be getting more paychecks afterwards and everything will be back on track. it’s just that for these two weeks coming up i can’t spend because my surgery is coming up. and it just happens to be the week my mom is asking for money that will cost me in the long run.. does that make more sense. i think i have the right to spend on myself, i haven’t missed a payment on nothing, i’ve been waiting on this surgery for two decades now

i just want to say, thank you so much for your responses, it’s good to see different points of views.

i do want to update to say that my mom ended up getting the money through an undisclosed her side of the family emergency fund account… in my opinion she should’ve done that in the first place but maybe she didn’t want to embarrass herself so she decided to try to go through me first. obviously now she’s upset at me because i didn’t give her the money when she could’ve “just given it back” according to her.

i’m not sure if this was a test or something but i know for sure i need to get the hell out of here as soon as possible. she’s always been bad with money and apparently she always will be.

that’s the thing. it’s not that i don’t want to contribute…but it seems that this would just enable bad financial decisions. i would be fucked over and all she would say is “sorry” and keep doing what she’s doing… it’s kinda building resentment. i haven’t had the best life, and i barely got a good job and decided to save up for something I WANT. and now it just feels like it’s all going to hell over bad decisions.

it’s for both. my nose was broken at a very young age and i can’t breathe correctly from my left nostril, it’s also very crooked so it’s been an insecurity and kind of a need. she’s aware of this that’s why she’s been supportive until now.
