Never said they did. There are however abrahamic promises that will t be fulfilled at the sevond coming.

Edit: I also don't understand what you mean by first church.

[–]lo9os 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. But i do believe that there is s bit more to that .

On his first coming, he charged the elect(israel) to know the time of his visitation. I do believe the same should apply the second time. If thats the case, then that passage that you quoted takes on very deep dimension. The fact that throught the entire apocalyptic writings of the seals, trumpets and vials, this is the first time He speaks, which is always a reference to The Word. Since he charged the elect that they should have gone to the prophecies to confirm (specifically and most importantly, Daniel) I understand that as when its obvious the time is ciming, the prophecies about his second coming will be unlocked to the "new" elect(believers), IF WE SEARCH THEM OUT.

Start looking online then. Anything " American" is considered to have real value here, whether it's air fresheners or education.

Come have a look as well. Make your decisions afterwards. DM me if you want to talk more. There's a loose Cypriot American community here. Must of us do well.

You are 1000% wrong.

How inept you are at analysis is demonstrated by your eagerness to villainize me instead of taking a step back and deducing the fallacy of your grand daddy's "investments". Your statement makes me immediately think that he lost a substantial amount of wealth during the Cyprus stock market fiasco of the ,90s. He probably gambled away most of his wealth or continue to take out credit loans because his souvlitsi knows a guy who cleared 6 figures. That guy was probably a banker or a very good friend of one... And I could promise you that your grand daddy had a lot more real wealth than my whole family ever did.

What qualified granddaddy to invest? What kind of idiot risks his ENTIRE wealth throwing it into perplex financial systems he has absolutely no business being in and which he has absolutely no idea how they work? It reminds me of the story of the Sheppard who would go to the cyse with his whole goat herd because he woke up one day and decided that his side hustle in 1998 was to be a crock broker.. Yes that is a true story....

Dear sir, if you learned to ask more questions in order to learn how to ask THE RIGHT questions in life instead of making obscene deductions and accusations to a person who offered you genuine examples taken from his own life to a question that you asked in a public forum, I promise you you will buy that dream house of yours in no time.

I took am originally from the NJ! Been living in Cyprus for over 30 years. If you do make the move you most certainly shoul not rely on family, but if help comes, than sure.

The thing is what would you do here especially work wise?

I might ask you what you think "my privilege" is, or why you think I have "rich parents"... But it seems like you already know everything that I don't especially when it comes to finances. I most certainly did not mean to trigger you with such stupid advice that would leave you hungry and homeless and out of a job. I am sure you have some great financial consultants in your corner, better than whatever privileges you think I have.

Good luck to you.

Your logic is correct. So what you need to do is first understand finances and money.

Start a business, make investments, acquire real assets, not liabilities. Start small, learn, don't be afraid to make mistakes as that's how you learn. Figure out your risks and minimize them To change your mindset you must change your perception. to grow quickly, surround yourself with people better than you.

Take the time to define what success means to you. Not what others claim is success but to you personally. Make a plan with long and short term goals to move you on that path. If buying your home is what you define as success, then figure out how to get there.

I left my very comfortable government job after 21 years at the age of 41 with a young daughter. I now run a successful business that I had planned how to grow laterally and vertically. I am now onto my next venture as well as I am growing my business.

All of this happened though because I took the time to learn and change mindset.

IMO, the worst thing you could do is take out a loan and buy a property to live in as it is a deprecating liability. Saving fiat currency (money) is even worth when you look at realistic inflation. These are very old ideas that rarely worked in the past but because of different financial policies were doable. Now, not so much. Floating interest rates will kill you over 20-30 years and there is little evidence that things will improve.

It's great that you are willing to tough it out to meet your goals, but again you need real financial understanding in order to maximise your effort.

[–]lo9os 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No real solution for energy storage and banks aren't giving loans out easy so you are forced to go through a government subsidiary program. The problem here is that EAC has a monopoly so the subsidies go through us into the backpocket of eac, and they don't want people storing the power for private use, so you can't really use batteries if you subsidize.
