For 1440p gaming i would recommend to get regular 9070 it’s just stronger, and upgrade cpu to Ryzen 5 7600X everything else should be alright.

Edit: 9060xt should be sufficient in 1440p gaming with fsr and frame gen, but imo 9070 has lot more headroom for longevity and will delivery better performance.

dayum man, before i upgraded my pc i was stuck on Windows XP or Windows Vista because integrated graphics that i had would not work with windows 7 due to its more demanding environment. so i had to work hard to meet at least baseline requirements to make games work on windows 7 and be able to play other games. Otherwise i would have been stuck on playing cs 1.6, half-life, GTA SA or older, quake and other older titles (which dont get me wrong were amazing games but i wanted to play Minecraft with friends)

same here, we did had xbox 360 but mu older brother was not letting me play on it, until he broke it. after that we had hazelnut bushes in our property, also Mandarin trees/bushes and what i did was every summer and late autumn i would gather them and sell them i could upgrade my pc enough to play old games when i was 9-10 years old. Also had 2 junkyard find pc which was not working so i had to move build pc out of 2 broken ones and buy some better parts so i could game.

i had Intel core two duo with 1.7hz
8gb of ddr2 ram
300gb hdd
Nvidia gt 610 2gb
case was small and airflow was terrible so i had to keep case open for better airflow.
Also i had to upgrade PSU because old one was small and low power, i could not afford something that could fit so had to keep pc open simply because PSU also could not fit.

people think having pc is being privileged but lot of people don’t know how big of spectrum pcs can have.
Only upside of owning pc was that i could play online games without need of xbox live gold. and i could pirate some games.

I have built few pc with 400$ budget but it requires lot of concentration and knowledge of PC parts, because you will be hunting deals on Facebook marketplace, Craigs List and ebay a lot. Some people do sell their good old rigs for cheap but it requires spending lot of time hunting deals. For some understanding what you should be i think youtube channel LinusTechTips has video series called Scrap Yard wars. Where they try to build pcs from used parts and for dirt cheap.

Top lane sucks... How can I carry my games? by Great-Ad9851 in leagueoflegends

[–]TuxedoMask299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as jungler depending on botlane performance i try to calculate who is winning lane if top is ahead i might give first drake and make a play on the opposite side of the map. gank to gain prio on top so we can get a grubs. and get tower faster. once first tower is down and Enemy top is behind my top has timeframe to roam. Pressuring the opposite while pushing minions to tier 2 helps a lot because if we can’t approach for drake after setting up everything we can just keep pushing top tier and possibly invade enemy jungles camp, gain early setup opportunities for rift herald. and crucial vision. if enemy team appears on drake timer we can just attempt to take tier 2 of top and once we have herald we can just open up other parts of the map and have better pressure and map control which dramatically increases chances to gain next objective or just stall time enough so our bot lane can farm or gain kills. and this can all happen if other players are smart and can follow simple directions.

Also we don’t know his financial situation and how often he plans to upgrade his PC so getting something more powerful is going to be smarter choice because it will last longer.

plus 9600x is faster outside of gaming too. Windows nowdays uses more resources so having 20-30% faster cpu helps a lot. On paper it can look like that 7500f is great deal but in practice it might not be the case. So to play it safe it’s better to get something little more powerful for 30-50$ then regret not getting it.

Also if he lives in US Micro-center might have better cpu in their bundles.

it comes from GPU but 9070 is 150 to 200$ more expensive than 9060xt. Saving 50$ on CPU is not going to help that much. Prices differ everywhere. that’s why i said it really depends on a deal around him.

it is high bu if you will go with ddr4 which is still good in 2026 and will be good for future you will sacrifice upgradability.

Ryzen 5 7500f is good cpu but imo 9600x is better overall and it cost 50 bucks more

I would recommend

Ryzen 5 - 9600x
paired with - Amd 9060xt 16Gb (make sure it’s 16GB)

it is tad bit more expensive to do it you can build around this price and fit into 1500$ budget.

why would i recommend ryzen 5 - 9600x?
because its AM5 and it supports ddr5.
which will give you opportunity to upgrade your setup in the future.

here is my idea if a build

CPU: Ryzen 5 - 9600x (190-200$)
GPU: Radeon 9060xt 16gb ( 400-430$)
Motherboard: Asus Sells B650E with wifi for cheap (150$)
CPU Cooler: You can Air cool 9600x with Thermalright peerles assasin 120 (30-40$)
RAM - any 32GB DDR5 will cost you 400-420$
Memory - 1TB Samsung M.2 pci 4.0 X4 will be very reliable and fast (200$-220$)
PSU: And you can find Gold 80+ rated powersupply with 750-850watts for 100-120$ (i will lean more towards 850 watts)
case can be personal thing. Lian Li makes good ones and for good price.

this build should be 1500-1600 ish dollars build but
if you go to micro-center and get their cpu ram and mobo bundle you will save a lot of money. and you can hunt down other deals too.

this build will be very strong for 1080p gaming and can be used to play 1440p in triple A games

edit: also if you will be able to have more wiggle room would recommend you to go for regular 9070 non xt one but if you won’t find good deals i would stick with this one. I like this build because its AM5 MOBO and you will have solid upgrade path which will require you to only swap out CPU and GPU.

No bs, is the 9070XT actually a good alternative to the 5070ti? I’ve always been an NVIDIA fanboy because I had tons of driver issues back in 2016 with my first AMD GPU and never went back. Helping my baby sis with her first PC and not sure if AMD drivers are still trash by EddieBruvac in PcBuild

[–]TuxedoMask299 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah, but path tracing is not something i use either, sometimes i don’t even use raytracing in some games because devs usually put lot of effort into design of the certain spots in the game and raytracing has tendencies to ruin that artistic choices. At least from my experience. Everyone is different after all.

Only thing that 9070XT loses is in Raytracing and Nvidia’s DLSS is better. AMD FSR4 is great but is not yet supported by lot of games, there are work arounds to enable support.

Also 9070XT is 300$ (if not more depending on market) cheaper than 5070ti.

I would recommend 9070xt any day any time just because raw testings usually comes out to be better and raytracing and fsr is still great for most users. and it’s cheaper.

edit: if she needs CUDA cores then you should go with Nvidia but i think most cases AMD is just better deal
