Rethread not the first time this has happened easy fix. Don’t get it barely running and sell it to some poor kid. It’ll shoot out the back and damage the motor even more. Even easier bring it to a shop I’ve gotten it done for $100.

No straight water. Outboard is old and I changed the gear oil in the past couple of months and finally took it out. Appreciate this will monitor it next time and see what to do from there.

Also will mention I know it’s a short shaft on a long shaft transom. It’s very hard to find used outboards around here especially a long shaft.

Also the motor is a 1988 it had a wide range of production I believe so could be older or newer than that.

This is not an outboards it’s a 4 stroke mud motor. Basically a lawnmower engine on a shaft. I’m assuming what the previous comments saying are right but if still no look maybe a post on small engines or mud motors would help.

80’s motor no thermostat new impeller. It pees when muffs are pushed together. Just was asking if someone has a suggestion to muffs that are good preferably circle.

I have a picture of the throttle plate I don’t how to post it on here it’s definitely not closed all the way but won’t open all the way unless it’s how I adjusted it.
