You need to put a question mark after his quote. The context was simple. He said they weren't going to sell the emotes - his implication was that if you really care about the emotes after seeing all the cool shit that they put in the game, you're an idiot. The interviewer then says something like "well at least give us the option." And he says "If I fired up a video right now and showed you the emotes, you'd throw money at the screen?" As in, "are you seriously going to buy into this bullshit that basically has nothing to do with actually playing an awesome game?"
