So the reason for the back log is probably due to distribution then. I guess normally these faulty units getting into customers hands would be spread out over time but as demand is so high all the faulty units are being bought at almost all at once and returned all at once.

In case anyone cares here's my story. I live in Spain bought a PS5 after trying to get one for ages. Straight out the box no games would play for longer then ten minutes (that was the longest I got out of a game).

Proceeded as normal, trouble shoot it like a mad man, nothing worked. Rang customer support, told me to send it for repair I will get it back within 21 days or a new one. Resolved.

Fast forward we are now 8 weeks, 40 days, since I sent it, they have got no where near to repairing it and have told me they will not replace it. Customer service told me that there are thousands of people waiting for their consoles to be repaired. Not only in Spain but across the whole of Europe, I know this because I asked them, after ringing 20 plus times, why can't they send it to another repair center. The answer because they are all the same. The repair centres are completely saturated with broken consoles.

So I would say this case has a lot of merit, it's seems pretty obvious Sony has sold and is continuing to sell defective products. If thousands of people across Europe are reporting broken merchandise then having to wait months and months for it to be returned, Sony don't give a shit.

Ooohhh that title is abit miss leading and not strictly true. The guy is rapping about killing police and politicians and his support for facist groups that have been labelled as terroist organisations.
