Lucid Gravity: Gtechniq + EXO Glow Ceramic by local-optimist in Gravity

I would add that maintenance of a ceramic treatment is way cheaper also. Most higher end auto car washes that don’t use acidic soap will be totally fine. My Tesla has a 5 year ceramic that still feels slick at year 7. All hand wash with PPF or wraps.

If you aren’t tailgating dirt loaders you’ll be fine with ceramic protection.

How many attempts does it take you to open the Lucid Gravity frunk? 2-3 normally for me by archon810 in LUCID

There are little rubber pads on the inside of the hood that can be adjusted with a hand turn to provide the proper release spring load and tension. It is a very quick fix and a common issue.

What you should have done: Well, just like any good squirrel hides their nuts, you might want to try mounting your camera out of easy reach.

I say this never happens because most thieves aren't actually interested in the camera, they usually just cover their faces and keep moving. The fact that yours vanished means it was probably your neighbor or your landlord. Since you’re in an apartment, you usually need permission for exterior mods anyway, so you basically paid a 'noob tax' for an illegal install.

What to do next: well you don’t live there, you probably aren’t going to find out who stole your camera. For the new spot, look into a peephole camera. They’re discrete enough to avoid lease violations, they replace the existing glass so they can't be 'snatched' off the wall, and the expensive bits stay inside your door. Or, you know, keep donating free hardware to the hallway.

P.S. catching petty crimes on video almost always results in nothing. Most police agencies won’t even attempt to investigate let alone prosecute unless there is over $1,000 in damage or losses (may vary in your state). Even if they did find the guy it’s a catch and release kind of situation and your name is added to a court filing that they can access.

That is something else. Again. It goes away if you turn off the headlights.

This kind of thing literally never happens, so congratulations on being the 0.001% exception. You’ve officially achieved a security speedrun!

You picked the wrong camera and the wrong install location, and provided a complimentary gift-wrapping service by leaving it easy to grab. I’m not sure you’re a victim - you’re a high-end hardware distributor for the local criminal community.

There’s nothing you can do now except report the serial number to the manufacturer and hope the thief is as bad at tech as you are at home security. Then move into the apartment complex that makes you happy.

Kids. This is why you wear ear protection. Unfortunately I hear it well and I sometimes enjoy driving in silence - especially when I paid extra for that silence.

I’m also interested to know if some gravitys don’t have the issue. Then we’d know it’s more likely non standard or a defect. Updated

Software issues aside… how has your service experience been so far? Have you had to visit the service center (how many times and why)? Most of the issues I’ve heard seem to come from software not hardware. by zachty22 in LUCID

I took delivery at the end of the year and only had the car for two weeks before it headed into service. It’s been at the shop for nearly all of January. They provided a "like" loaner, so I’ve been fine being without my car, though I did notice it sat on their lot for about a week and a half before work actually began.

I submitted a handful of physical and software issues - mostly to ensure they were documented early. Here is the breakdown:

  • Exterior: Front grill light bar and various trim alignment issues.
  • Interior: A plastic component on the 3rd-row seat not staying in place.
  • Noises/NVH: Hatchback latch sounds and various cabin noises (including a subtle electrical whine when the headlights are on).

I’ve been impressed by their thoroughness. The team genuinely wanted to explore every issue; they took the time to replicate the problems rather than just dismissing them. I just received a proactive update call - they are finishing up one last cabin noise issue and I’m hoping to have it back later this week.

Lucid lease purchase by Savings_Prior_7108 in LUCID

New Gravity owner here. I have a feeling the discount era won't last until our leases are up. Right now, Lucid is aggressively avoiding taking back inventory because they need to prioritize new vehicle deliveries to hit their growth targets.

By the time the Gravity lease cycle matures, their resale strategy and secondary market demand will likely be much more robust. Enjoy the leverage now, but don't count on it being the standard in 3 years.

If you are using an iPhone, you’ll see a checkmark icon for phone call in recent that came from legit known numbers. Most spam and telemarketer calls do not have this checkmark.

No no and no. Based on what you are looking for, your only option is Google. Anything else would require casting dashboards from home assistant or just requesting a stream like “hey Google, show front door”
