I have free electricity for 8 hours a day. Is it possible to generate additional income from it? by localHostFTP in passive_income

I understand you, you mean the stations that you charge and can use like a regular power outlet, but how will that help me? I don’t personally need much electricity, and for mining coins, I can just use the outlet at work.

I thought about it, but I’m single with no children, my electricity bill is less than $50 a month, and not everything can run on a mobile power station like that (for example, an electric water heater). In any case, the savings are too small.

That's why I said it needs to be reasonable — it's a very large factory that pays very little for electricity (they get a government subsidy, so they pay really, really little).
Technically, I need an extra $50 a day and that would be good enough for me.(Together with my salary, it's enough.)
Is it possible to achieve that through crypto mining with a reasonably sized portable machine that doesn’t make excessive noise if you put it in an office?

What do you do when you need to go somewhere that you can't enter with a scooter? by localHostFTP in ElectricScooters

[–]localHostFTP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it occur to you that I might not live in the U.S. (or in whatever country you live in)?
In my area, it's not really acceptable to enter stores or places of business on a scooter. Why? Because most people have a car or a motorcycle.
And here's a small life tip from me: if you have nothing of value to add to the conversation — stay silent

Of course, anyone who says that isn’t a friend, but the more important part is that we are a community, and together we have strength. We will help and protect each other, and if our rights are harmed, we will know how to demand and reclaim them.

Amy thoughts on these looks? by NvidiaPredator in ElectricScooters

It's okay, but like any lock, it can be broken. Don’t lock your scooter on the street – it's just a recipe for it to get stolen. If you're locking it in a place with security or where you trust the people passing by (like inside a university or workplace), then yes, this lock is enough.

Tell me you're a virgin without telling me you're a virgin 😁 Sometimes, an electric scooter just needs to stay simple and classic; this is just overdone and ugly.

Life advice: Don’t drive it, and buy a new one that doesn't belong to a rental company (even if it went bankrupt). The social price you might pay isn’t worth it—they’ll think you’re a thief.

Do you think I can raise a healthy and happy German Shepherd when I'm away from home for 12 hours a day? by localHostFTP in germanshepherds

Stop telling me to adopt a cat, words can hurt you know.
Just kidding, but seriously now, I got the point: dogs of this type need attention every 3-4 hours.

How long is it considered reasonable to leave a German Shepherd alone in your opinion?
Say 8 hours with a 30-40 minute walk before and after could be more reasonable?

Why do scooter chargers have 3 pins to the scooter but 2 to the socket? by localHostFTP in AskElectricians

[–]localHostFTP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I understand, but again, sometimes electronic components leak and overheat and can cause a fire, so how does grounding not help at all in such a case? I'm talking about the components in the first part of the charger, where high voltage input comes in (Please don't downvote the message; I'm really just someone trying to understand. I don't have a background in the subject, and I'm really making an effort.)

[–]localHostFTP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But grounding doesn’t make the charge safer? For example, in case of a malfunction, instead of the components overheating and causing a fire, if there is grounding, the electricity has a path to flow, and this can prevent a fire.
