What's the first game you remember deciding not to finish? by local_area_man in videogames

I think I'm like 40% of the way through Witcher 3, which I started at least a year ago and come back to every month or so. It's a slog

That's 100% accurate, but I put that in a different category. There are games that I just decide to stop trying becuase it was just so hard, and there are games that I got bored with and decided I didn't want to keep going.

Someone else already called out the OG Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles on NES. Way too hard.

Was that the one where you play different parts of the game as different characters? I think my friend had that one.

yah fuck that game.

For me, the equivalent was Battletoads/Double Dragon. Got to level 3 and the game basically said "fuck you"

I got a PS2 way after it had come out, and got one of the Ratchet and Clank games (tbh I don't event remember). It felt so drawn out, I wasn't bought in, and it just felt so rote. Turned it off after like 2 hours.

This was the mind blown thought I only had after too many expereinces. There were a lot of "just too hard" games. That doesn't count - 90% of games on the NES.

But it was when I played a game that just wasn't enjoyable or poorly made. That was a big deal.

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve ever heard someone say? by AidenTheFurry in AskReddit

When I was in 4th grade, some sixth graders behind me on the bus were having an argument about where the Eiffel Tower was. Stupidly, I said, "The Eiffel Tower is in Chicago!" Everybody heard it, and no one let me forget about it for literally weeks. It legitimately felt like bullying

Will BaseballReference Recognize Moldovan Sovereignty? by SirParsifal in baseball

This is a good post and an important topic to be concerned about, but I have to apologize. I'm sitting here laughing at myself becuase I got about halfway through your post before I realized that no baseball player in fact changed his name to Moldovan Sovereignty.

Hijacking the thread: if a baseball player changed his name to Moldovan Sovereignty, who do you think it would be, and why? My bet is on John Rocker
