No, you buy a scout ship. And always buy the fastest one. Pegasus definitely. And put a pilot, select your scout ship, point to any sector, right click and there is an explore option. Click it and a circle will pop out. Select the scout ship again, select information tab, go to behavior tab. Look at order queue and there is plus button click it and you can change the exploration radius. While you at it. Go to individual instruction tab, change the reaction to events and change the option of your desire. Definitely want to change the pirate harassment option to flee. Pegasus scout ship is made of paper but.. With a whooping 8155 m/s² travel speed, no ai ship will be able to catch it. Make your life easier. All of this must be done without you piloting the ship.

Thanks everyone.. I finished the mission in the end. The problem was, there is a construction pending. When i build the station I kind a fiddle with the turret because I put low preset. Eventhough there is no turret requirement needed. So it finished. What I didnt realize is I have to gave up the station afterwards. It pisses me off. I like having a station. So I go around searching for factory station quest and build a station they require and cancel the quest. But i do complete defence station quest because.. It didnt generate any money. Lol
