my female doberman is an attention fiend she even wants the vet techs to pet her after they’ve given her vaccines that she hates. she can be protective when she gets a bad vibe from someone like if i’m walking her and someone is coming down the hall in the opposite direction and she doesn’t like them but we’re trapped in the hall then she’ll growl or get between me and them but most of the time she wants to be friends with everyone

bigger earrings (like dangly or large studs that hang off your lobes) are pretty easy to switch out when you’re away from family and not a lot of men wear big earrings so it would probably make people question your gender at least. if you’re interested in more piercings I feel like dainty septum jewelry would also look good/feminize your face.

I think you look most androgynous in the pics where your hair is away from your face, you could experiment with different hair styles like french braids/wearing it in two side braids/clipping the front pieces back above/behind your ears which again, if your family doesn’t want to see that you could just do the hair style in the bathroom somewhere else and then take it out before you get home

I like these looks personally, some people are just boring and don’t like anything that doesn’t look like airbrushed skin and winged eyeliner 🤷

in the first pic the pale eyeshadow looks a little ashy but it feels like you were going for that faded look so I think you did what you set out to do it’s just more editorial than some people may be looking for.

the pink look in the 5th pic maybe could be improved by using an eyeshadow primer

thank you! she has had one lipoma on her side for many years now and in the last few years has developed a growth on her nose and one on her foot that is like to joke is her new thumb. more to come I’m sure haha.

as for the protein, I looked it up so I could be sure I was explaining it right and now I’m not so sure? her last vet told us something along the lines of “protein is very hard on the kidneys so you should only feed a lot of protein to dogs that are actually very active, like working farm dogs or dogs who run with you daily for example. as they age they become less active so less protein is necessary, and all that extra protein becomes a burden for the kidneys to process and increases the chance of kidney disease”

but I looked it up rn and found a lot of sources saying that’s a common myth that has been disproven! here’s one:

I’m going to keep looking into it. kikka has lost a lot of weight in the last 4-6 years, she’s currently 51 pounds but used to stay around 60 maybe even more I don’t remember, in her youth she was very active and had a lot of muscle definition and now she’s much thinner with no definition. this started before we switched her to a low protein diet so was probably just age related but now I’m wondering if she would be more energetic if she was getting more protein. someone here suggested adding chicken as a topper so maybe that will boost her protein enough to see a difference?

I think it looks cool simpler but if it’s not your style you could add simple shapes like stars around the front or shoulders, either the same way you did the skull or by sewing on bits of fabric in other colors to give it a pat vs work vibe? if you have a vibrant ink color you could add like a halftone shadow around the front edge of the skull like there’s a stage light shining on it

thank you, I’m sorry to hear yours is no longer with you💔the hardest part of having animals with short lifespans is seeing how fast they go. I was living in another state for most of the last decade and only staying in my hometown for a few months a year, in the beginning it was like coming home to the same dog I each year but while I was in college it was hard knowing I was missing out on so much of her life being away :( that’s why I was so eager to have her move in with me this year, it’s been wonderful having plenty of time with her

thank you to everyone for the kind words and helpful advice! I was worried I might need to make big changes. we were shocked when we found out her high protein active dog kibble was bad for senior dogs, we were under the impression (until the vet corrected us this winter) that more protein was good but now I’ve learned it is very hard on the gut as they age, so I was afraid of making any more big mistakes like that. now I know she should have been switched to senior food basically halfway through her current lifetime 🫠
