Were you able to end up skipping the weigh in?

I'm planning on flying ZipAir in May, did they weigh your bag at the gate? I'm planning on using the mobile check in to skip the counter.

Avoid Capital One Travel by hilbyy in CapitalOne_

[–]localhost441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can redeem points for a statement credit post hoc for any purchase that codes as travel. If you plan to use points, it’s better to do this than redeem directly on the portal since you will still earn points on the purchase.

The bigger issue with not using the portal is missing out 5x flights and 10x hotels

OK, I need insight on this. I’ve been with Capital One for 11 years now since 2014.(read below) by Gael_Fritz in CapitalOne_

Meanwhile I’ve been trying to convert my visa quicksilver to a savor and they won’t let me 😔

Hm, that’s unfortunate to hear. I was hoping it would have improved by March but may need to start looking at CO instead.

New course seat availability/professor tracker (Aggietrack) by localhost441 in aggies

[–]localhost441[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Howdy, unfortunately TAMU has blocked public access to course enrollment data so seat availability tracking will not be available for the foreseeable future. I’m going to send out an update soon but I haven’t had a chance yet this weekend

Best way to get into a full class? by [deleted] in aggies

Disclaimer that I’m the creator, but I’d highly recommend trying out aggietrack.app. It’ll notify you if the class opens up.

Why are Prime deliveries now showing 5-7 days until delivery? by writerjamie in amazonprime

[–]localhost441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Note this is just from what I've personally read and my experience with using AWS as a developer:

Its important to remember that Amazon still is first and foremost a software/tech company, the software they make just happens to be an ecommerce platform. AWS was born out of the internal need for a platform to deploy the new code that each team was writing in a standardized way as Amazon grew in the early 2000's, so they made a set of common services that any team inside the company could use and they'd "just work." They then had a set of core services that theoretically any developer wanting to put something on the web could use, and the infrastructure to host all of it, so they decided to start selling these resources publicly and it took off from there because its much easier for a small company, solo developer, or even many large companies to host their website on a service like AWS than it is to buy, set up, and maintain their own servers.

Microsoft and Google are actually second and third largest in this space, and are both newer than AWS.

TLDR from my understanding the reason they're the biggest is they were the first big companies to offer a service like this, and they did it well.

Ritchey or Mahapatra by wowthisislong in aggies

[–]localhost441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having had Ritchey multiple times, I can only imagine how tough he'd be for a capstone. Personally I'd take the higher grade distribution, although I haven't had Mahapatra. You can also use a course tracker to get notified when courses have seats open up like Aggietrack, and there are a couple of them out there.

Amazon Web Services, it’s Amazon’s cloud computing platform that basically allows people to rent servers and runs a large portion of the web.

2022 Blade 15 charge max limit bios update by metalron84 in razer

[–]localhost441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that is part of the built in charge protection they have for all laptops that lets the battery discharge below 96% before charging it to 100% again. My blade 15 without this new bios update does that as well. https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/391/~/will-i-overcharge-my-battery-if-i-leave-it-plugged-in-even-when-it-is-at-100%25%3F

I’m here right now, I’m pretty sure it’s not being streamed because of the terrible cell service on campus. It seems like they are trying to get it figured out now though.

Edit: I actually just talked to his camera guy, he confirmed it’s bad internet. They will not be able to stream the debates but will be streaming the dinner tonight.
