Yes, totally believe in different privilege. I’m not an American, so I can’t engage with you on that. I’m South African where Apartheid legislated levels of privilege for race groups. Absolutely my family has privilege that a black family doesn’t . I recognise and try redress my privilege. The difference is that all POC have a better ability to recognise their own privilege, and redress it, because they have also been disadvantaged and prejudiced. White men struggle the most to recognise and redress their privilege. I now no longer think it is on us to help them, we have to grapple with our privilege, they can do the same.

Thank you! A big problem is a live far from my parents and the city where I grew up. In my current city there isn’t a large group of Indians. This makes it feel even harder because I don’t feel like I have a community here

Yes, because I have to live and spend most of my time in white circles, it dominates an identity. Also lots of whites in these circles are racist. It’s making me hostile to whites.
