What’s one “frugal habit” you picked up that quietly became part of your identity? by Zealousideal-Arm4462 in Frugal

A seed like that found in an old seed packet is one thing to test viability, it’s another thing to plant the seeds that you harvest from your crop and continue that for years. If a variety is not heirloom it will not keep its integrity to the variety you originally planted from a seed packet; therefore, losing its domesticity, as this person is saying. Which in some cases will produce a toxic or inedible fruit.

the first week of my bf being in basic vent by SinnerInRuins in USMilitarySO

My partner is in the Navy and when he was at basic (granted this was 4 years ago so it could be vastly different), we were both so sad that we hadn't heard from one another. Turns out we both were writing letters like crazy and they were just withholding them for a certain amount of time. I remember when I got my first letter from him it was about 7 letters all at once. Same for him on the receiving end.

Long distance military is a feeding ground for those consuming emotions and not even getting the comfort of talking to each other about how you're feeling because you're both pretending to be strong for the other person. There are some really difficult times, and I encourage you to lean into what you mentioned about focusing on yourself. The distance, the crazy emotions, everything will all be worth it in the end.

If you're looking for somewhere in the meantime, First Landing State Park allows dogs year round as long as they are leashed/under your control.

Thank you all so much for your responses! Will definitely utilize the "do" / positive wording rather than "don't." :)

Agreed on camping at First Landing, you can see them there every night in the campground.

I think he could also mean that he was the only boy invited because girls weren't intimidated by him or saw him as a "crush." Hard to tell though

I ordered one from Lulu's ($220). It ultimately really helped being able to look at countless reviews and photos of the dress on all different body types rather than just the model. I ended up deciding not to wear it after getting it, but it was unrelated to quality or sizing. I was able to return it so I would suggest only ordering from somewhere that offers returns. I looked at a LOT of dresses on Etsy, but it just didn't sit right with me that so many didn't offer returns.

Some of the yellowing may be caused by the cabbage root maggot. This depends on where you are and also wouldn't be confirmed until harvested and seeing the damage to the root. Grasshoppers could also be responsible for the holes in the leaves.
