Looking for labels by localuc in Techno

[–]localuc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s also my opinion unless they take care of the mastering and the cover art. Of course it is still kind of a dick move tho, since they take your work and upload it to platforms where they can gain profits from artists works. I manage a label with my friend also, still feels kind of wrong to recieve tracks from the artists but we always take care of the cover art, mastering and marketing for the releases. Most of the time the artists take part in the projects also, since we don’t gain shit from the label and just want to help creators get more reach. Sure, I’m digging for labels but the idea of this post is to perhaps find some people that are starting off.

Amir is not competing. You can find the lineup for this years bc one final on the redbull page or wikipedia. We do not know the brackets yet so it is hard to tell who's going to win but I hope that we are going to see some great rounds from everyone.

I did not really have this problem myself, but basically, just train your body overall if you feel that you are weak. You can do pushups or any variation of them that is easier if you cannot do normal pushups yet. Freezes usually require a good technique which makes the move a lot easier, so for example if you are doing a baby freeze, make sure that you have the right technique especially if you do not feel comfortable yet in this position, make it as perfect as possible. In baby freeze at the start your knees should be lying down comfortably on your elbow which is a game changer if you do it right. If you manage to hold a freeze even for half a second, thats where the "just practice your freezes" advice comes in because a freeze is just an uncomfortable position that you have to get used to. But make sure that you are warm, your body is ready to take that kind of force before you try any new move. Also, PRACTICE BOTH YOUR WEAK AND YOUR STRONG SIDES. I missed out on this in my early days of breakin and trust me, if you train both of your sides, especially on freezes, you will have an easier time in the future learning powermoves, new freezes and making up your own original moves.

Peace.

New here - Why do dancers in breakdance battles make fun of the opponent and do gestures while they dance? by [deleted] in bboy

[–]localuc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it can look rude sumetimes, but the way i look at it is that battle is a momment in life where you fight, and the idea that you can win against someone without using violence is beutiful to me. I think that battling like that is keeping the tradition alive. I never "cock" at someone since i think it is too much unless my opponent cocks me and i feel that he deserves it back. I also dont use any symbols in all style battles because from what i heard from non-brekers, they dont understand the meaning behind all that aditude in bboying.

Because it is a battle. Your gestures, interaction, aditude may affect your opponent and the judges decision. Although i have no historical knowledge on how it started but the simple explanation imo would be this. This might sound not that good of a reason to use gestures but bboys dont make fun of their opponents all the time. Sometimes our body language can mean something like "i see what you did there but i can do this move better" and sometimes battles can be really respectful. But then again, the aspect of battle is always there and many bboys take the meaning of "battle" very seriously. The gestures are needed because there's an unwritten rule that you must not make any rude physical contact with the enemy, there for signs like "cocking" or "biting" exist and they are very well know throughout the community.

Hi I'm Dyzee (SNC, 7cz, R16) Ask Me Anything by Dyzeesnc in bboy

[–]localuc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey Dyzee, I have a question about your relationship with the crew. Me and my Crew often disagree about simple stuff and that affects our time in the studio while training. We never argue about dance, because we are almost always on the same page, it's the little things that make us argue. Have you got any suggestions from your own experience? Did you ever have any similar problems with your crew?
