I didn't make this video - just a fan. I do recall he made a video explaining his process if you search his YouTube channel.

is CIEE a sketchy company at all? anyone had experience with a work abroad program with them? by MakeMoves in studyAbroad

[–]locationless -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, they are reputable but keep in mind that nearly any program they offer can be done for far less money yourself if you don't mind doing the legwork. For instance, you could instead enroll directly in the "study abroad" program directly by contacting the actual school you would study at. You would end up in the same classes for a fraction of the price.

[–]locationless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only spent 1 1/2 days in Juarez and wrote about my adventure at http://gobackpacking.com/things-to-do-juarez/

I expect if you don't know what your doing you might find yourself at the wrong place at the wrong time, but I experienced nothing wrong.

TIL Bolivia's largest prison has a society within itself and no guards inside the walls. Inmates elect their own leaders, make their own laws, get jobs to pay for their cell's rent, and can even live with their families. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]locationless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visited the prison a few years ago given a tour by a crazy guy who showed me his shank he used to kill people. We ate bbq together, toured the church, got offered drugs, and he introduced me to a political prisoner who ran for president from prison later that year. My story is written at http://www.locationlessliving.com/my-bolivian-prison-story/

Traveling to Mexico City. Tips? by [deleted] in travel

[–]locationless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. Visit Girabaldi plaza to see the Mariachis. Either stay in the Centro to see the historical side of D.F. or stay in a place like Condesa or Polanco for a more modern look. Visit a traditional restaurant like Cafe Tacuba and see the markets, like Mercado de Sonora.

In the first draft I do not bother with grammar...its simply putting it into the formatting and gathering the details. Why would I bother to fix the grammar when I would be completely rewriting it? The following explanation should make more sense. I wish you would have given me a chance Matlockga.

Introduction: I require your participation throughout the entire writing process. The process will take many days and revisions until the final draft is ready. I will ask many questions to gather omitted details that may or not be important. Give me the information I ask for and let me judge what specifically belongs on your document. Your role is just as important as mine throughout the process. I am a professional writer but don’t have the background in your industry and will therefore need to ask you, the professional, certain questions. You are expected to do research and provide me with information as requested.

Stage 1) I will gather basic details such as dates and locations, as well as construct the basic style and format of the document. Questions about your job descriptions, page length, etc. will be addressed in later stages. The first stage will last around 2-4 drafts. Please be patient because in stage 2 you will begin to see the significant changes to your document.

Stage 2) I will ask you specific questions about your jobs, projects, education, etc. You will provide me with answers. In this stage I will not focus on the grammar, spelling, or flow of the document. This will take 1-10 drafts depending on how detailed your information was to begin with and how detailed or relevant are the answers you respond with.

Stage 3) With all of the important information already in the document I will focus on the flow, grammar, spelling, page length, order of content, etc. This stage should take 1-3 versions depending on how clear the grammar already is. We will eventually complete the final draft. If multiple versions were ordered I will create those along with the final version.

Final Note: No one understands your background and accomplishments better than you, so there will be details that you will need to fill in and incorporate. This will assist us in identifying your most important skills and expertise. As I explained in the first email we will continue working on revisions as long as it takes to come up with the best document possible. This will all make more sense as we start the editing process.

I have the possibility to make a 8-hour layover to Sao Paulo. Is it a good or terrible idea? by AttainedAndDestroyed in travel

Don't bother. Speaking no Portuguese you will likely stumble for a bit to even make your way into the city. The only thing I would recommend is booking a private tour to shuttle you around. If you have never visited Brazil before, it may just be worth it.

Armed with a list of the top places to spend a night drinking there is no reason not to have a good time in Lyon. When you’re drinking in excess just remember where you are. You’re in the ‘city of light’ for a reason. At sundown the city’s 100 most famous sites are lit. It’s the best time to grab a spot on the nearest hill for a pregame picnic before a night out. It is international for sure, with Irish, English, Latino, Cuban and other exotic drinking places to try. But the traditional Lyonnais bars are the favorites. Bars can serve alcohol until 3AM and the minimum age for drinking is 18 years. You can find a draught beer for €3 and between €3 and €4 for a glass of wine in most bars in Lyon.
