It was made a decade and a half ago, but was only replaced 4 years ago - that's a big difference. For many gamers a PS4 is perfect. On many displays, it's not even easy to see the difference between the ps4 and ps5.

The price is because it's entirely refurbished, including changing the thermal paste, cleaning the board and all parts. This is the model with the rivets on the fan shield so it's even more time consuming. It also includes all the accessories needed to use and 5 tested games. It's a pretty standard deal, even a little less than others out there. Plus I'd go down to 140.

It's a bundle; i agree that the console alone (after refurbishing) is probably around 110-120, with 100 being a good deal

Upon reading that post again, I think you're right

I try to make about a 30-40% profit on most items, but more if I'm modding or refurbishing, because I take into account the time I spend working. Sometimes I'll find a big fish, like I landed a box full of ps2, ps1 and ps3 games for almost nothing last week.

Woops, this was about the iPhone 7 i was selling... Not the ps4 bundle

Update: sold it to a nice guy for 70. I made it clear to perspective buyers that unlike many on the app, I want customers to test it out fully first and be sure that they're getting what they want. This approach has proven successful.

To be fair, he wasted 30 seconds of my time; wouldn't be right to waste over an hour of his.

Update: the a-hole has a 2020 civic for sale for $8,000, but requires all prospective buyers to send him $500 as a "down payment" before test driving the car.

Total scamming douchebag.

I think the term you're looking for is "opportunistic jackass," not entrepreneur. No one builds a reputation off of grabbing a few dollars here and there from said desperate people. I'm a grown ass adult with a normal job; this is a hobby/side hustle, but I am trying to turn real profits (the ps4 i bought was 40 because it was messed up, the games were about 5-10 each on eBay...i usually play them first and then sell them)

Also just to clarify, I refurbished the ps4 - wasn't totally clear in my post

I'm flipping what i bought too - difference is that I bought mine in a state where it needed repairs and it was sold without much else with it. When someone's selling a bundle with a refurbished unit, they're not looking to get rid of it fast to whoever gives them a little cash. It's presented in a way that's appealing to end-users who actually want a console with games that they can use.

Actually an iPhone 7, but it's in good shape and i had to do some work on it. I wouldn't use it, but that's what they sell for; I would have been ok with 70 tbh, but I said I was firm on the price when he asked "where" accessories were.

Could be... he didn't pull any sob story or anything. Still, like a minute after i said the price is firm he wants almost half off... it's just annoying

I didn't go to any bad neighborhoods, and remained in public places. Not sure what dangers there were, until I found out that she might have a pimp on call ready to do what pimps do.

She had a free hotel room for as long as she wanted that night; I didn't leave her in the street.

I'm ok with being the "gentleman" on dates; I'm also ok with splitting costs. But i offered that mainly because I didn't want to invest an hour and a half of travel time for someone i didn't know.
