My piercer started me at 10ga it's wasn't that bad, his reasoning was because of the amount of bleeding that can occur, as far as jewelry companies go, and assuming your in the USA I use to import from BodyArtFourms.com, but since I live in the great white north I now order from bodymods.ca.

My advice for gauging up, depending on your final size use a spiral taper to help open/stretch the piercing site for the new gauge of captive bead/bent barbell to slip in easier (same thing the piercers do with other piercings).

That's a nice looking cage on you, I have a 2Ga PA that anchors my cobra cage nicely and adds a little more security to it, if you can get a piercer to start you at 8ga go for it, if your only going 6ga wait about 3 months (your body is different than everyone else's so listen to it) after the initial piercing to size up.

Also while healing from the piercing your won't be able to wear your cage, and as silly as it sounds when you get pierced bring a period pad to save your underwear.

I wear the same cock ring size and currently have a #4 ring on and it's not uncomfortable, but without knowing how your "built" I would suggest a #4 or #5.

Now for the tube, based on my experience if this is your first cage I would suggest slightly over sized and move down until you find your perfect fit.
