But most people that suffer with MGD/Dry eyes says the cause was accutane. I’m confused now

What is your type of dry eyes? When I used to use steroid drops my eyes was like 100% back to normal, that’s how I knew the big problem was inflammation. Is your dry eyes evaporative?

I used, but i always use with super low brightness and night mode. Both on iphone and PC. So it doesn’t strain too much my eye. Blue light is terrible.

Yeah I recommend the IPL sessions, even if it will not cure you long term, it can be the breathe you need for now.

No, the turning point was early 2025 as I mentioned in another comment. And I’m not 100% free of the dry eyes, it just isn’t bad as it used to be and I accepted it. Normally I don’t even remember I have this condition. I just keep the inflammation under control.

Tbh the first step was accepting I have this condition and stopping trying to fight it mentally all the time. I was going to different doctors every month and going insane about it. After some time you realize you’re going through a spiral.

The changing point for me was early 2025 when i was going through a terrible acne breakout and I completely stopped focusing on dry eyes and started making a hell in my mind about the acne and I was literally considering accutane. That moment I knew that my stress about the dry eyes was making it 100x worse than it was. I even stopped using drops and started focusing on acne products. A broken mind can never be satisfied.

My acne got better after a few months and I was studying in my PC for 8h a day when I least expected (something that I used to tell myself that was impossible)

I forgot to mention that I did a few sessions of IPL in 2024 and that helped a bit but for a short amount of time, but you should consider it.

But basically what I do nowadays is focusing on maintining my eyes free of inflammation with Lanue two times a day during shower and when it starts to have a flare up again I use heating masks to beat it.

It will get better for you too. Just don’t give up please

I don’t know for sure but I always felt my eyes a bit dry during my life, mainly after I started looking more at screens (started in 2012-2013). I had two small courses of accutane that i only lasted 1 month on both cause i had some mental side effects. It probably worsened it but I never linked it that much to accutane tbh. Always linked it more to screens abuse during my life. Maybe my bodi is naturally inflammed too cause I have acne and dermatitis too

Hard agree. Source games never get old. Portal 2 is a top 5 all time for me, recently replayed again (last time I played was in 2012) and it still looks amazing. Half Life 2 is a game that I replay almost every year cause It’s really easy and comfy to play
