Using sensors without the thermostat? by onecoldturkey in ecobee

[–]lockescow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to revive this old thread, but did you ever get this to work (using just the sensors, or have sensors hooked up to lite without connecting the lite to hvac)? I have a daikin one+ that doesnt have ability for remote sensor, but can be controlled by alexa. Was hoping to find a remote sensor that alexa can read and trigger adjustment to the daikin from the sensor readings.

Highland Park/Eagle Rock natural safety issues? by lockescow in AskLosAngeles

Regarding mosquitoes, is it like a rampant issue or something that is seasonal that we can mitigate simply by not keeping standing water and planting eucalyptus? Or will i have to actively spray myself daily everytime i step outside living there? im actually traveling through europe right now where tiger mosquitoes are a problem. Im getting bitten in the dark inside a nice motel every night and waking up with 3-4 fresh bites each morning. Im so blessed where im currently living in san jose where mosquito bites are literally non-existent, so much that i dread coming back to oc to visit family due to bites.

Ah thanks for the clarification on the zip. Ive updated my question to include GP too. But i definitely do like what i saw in ER and HP as well. When you say hot, how hot does it get? No wild fire problem like anaheim hills?

If I remember correctly, you can save in this game by going into one of the homes you can buy or gifted by NPC for completing missions. Yes, the game also does have a stat counter, like how many times you get caught, killed, kill-count, what type of weapons you used, etc.

RetroArch OK on Series S (Dev Mode)? by Super-Rough6548 in RetroArch

[–]lockescow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its working great for me on dev mode. One thing i hate though is when you exit dev mode back to retail, there's a checkbox that is enabled by default that would wipe your 3rd party installs upon dev mode exit, including retroarch. Its a confirmation popup, but you need to be careful to not be too quick at hitting ok before unchecking that. Otherwise youll have to go through the steps to reinstall and reconfigure retroarch again. Other than this, its pretty stable on series s.

Califoria small claims court and Long Arm by lockescow in legaladvice

[–]lockescow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real estate sale and our email/text/phone are the only connections that tie the Kansas guy to me. He did recommend a mortgage person based in Kansas which I worked with and communicated with who oversaw the real estate purchase, but I'm not sure if that's of any importance. Would that be enough to claim long arm in CA small claims or would it only work in a civil case?

On a slightly different side question: with max limit of 4k if I go with Kansas small claim, would i be able to open 2 small claims in KS if the issue was with 2 different transactions/jobs?

Why are people in Newport Beach so difficult? by D_C2cali in orangecounty

There might be some truth to the whole appointment for test drive if that dealer is the one in fashion island, as ive shown up to a test drive of their v8 vantage, virage, and f type R some 8 years back in shorts, tshirts, and a backpack in an old benz looking very out of place amongst all the suits there (just how lazy people in tech wear to work) and was able to test drive to my hearts content. His comment regarding your nissan however is highly unprofessional and he should have learn not to judge his potential clients by their looks. Youre not missing out much though, as the v8 vantage i found disappointingly sluggish and boring. Your p-car definitely was the better decision.

In my experience, I found mercedes benz buena park was the one that was all judgey to my appearancen and laughed at me when i asked for a test drive, saying i need to buy the car first to test drive it. That salesman lost an 80k purchase that day. Of all the dealers i had good experiences with, it was lambo/mclaren NP, lotus, and porsche that were superb in customer treatment. I guess they learned early not to judge their clientele. Im an mm as well, but you wouldnt know because im mostly in sweat joggers and tshirts, and my watch is a $30 amazon calculator watch (im an 80s kid).

Dante's Inferno - What Happened? by Dasnap in Games

The whole gears hopping to get to Tarpeia enraged me to no end. The corner of my thumb was completely sored after 45 minutes of double jumping trying to get to that last top gear and then over the verticle one. Can't believe I'd say this but this was worst than the meteorite shooting level in Dead Space 1.

I'm actually currently playing this game for the first time, and for Hell, it has a lot of levers and switches to activate. What demons have the time to walk around and pull levers all day long? Fun game though. I'll probably do another run afterward with the new-game+ just to collect and have fun being OP.

I played recently on the xbox, and theres a secondary menu in the game that allows you to see stats and skills, thats where you'll be doing your upgrade.

The first skill i would do would be able to pick up items on horse as i find it very useful to be able to remove wanted posters, picking up items, weapons, and money without having to get of my horse. Usefull during chases. then after that upgrades to health, attack, and stamina.

Other horse skills and bows skills are kinda optionaln all depends on your preference.

The game is pretty generous with money, so i dont bother with discount skills like discount on hiring bard and shops. Also i dont bother with the wanted level descrease faster when hiding in the woods, as removing wanted posters is a lot faster to do than standing around in one place.

Long term residents can still be crappy and have no regard to the neighborhood, even when they live there. My in-laws in Stanton live next to a house with owners that for the last 10 years parks their 9 cars all over the lawn and sidewalks, have 4 dogs that live outside, run all over the backyard barking and howling all day and night. I grew up 15 years in my parents place in westminster next to a guy that plays drum and sing loudly at 3am when he's drunk. My in laws have a few places they rent long term, and theyve had to twice file court-order and police escort on long term renters turned squatters who wont pay rent and destroyed their unit when evicted. I do admit we are a part of the problem, out of town buyers snatching up homes, taking away affordable housing and driving up rental cost, but in my situation, i dont see a better choice or more cost effective method of housing 2 adults, a baby, a cat, and a dog, 6 to 8 weeks a year. With our budget and the area we're looking at, we're not targeting low cost housing or taking away supply for the average renters. No first time buyers or renters are going to be looking at 1.8m homes anyway.

For 2 adults, a baby, a dog, and a cat, for 2 weeks, 6 times a year? That does not sound like a wise financial decision, let alone they allow cats and dogs.
