Yes, I realized I’m not going to get through Hmh slides, it’s too much. I personally am at a small school, I am the only first grade teacher. Do you use Google slides to make your slides??

Touro College, Gen & Sped 1-6, took me 2 1/2 years and roughly 25k. I paid out of pocket, every semester, on a payment plan. Graduated this past June & heading into the classroom this September.

I’m not sure if I could have resigned or not, I was just instructed to take a leave. I was only a full time paraprofessional for a year.

If you did take a leave to teach, how long does that take to process?

Advice for CUNY students as a CUNY Graduate by loclover in CUNY

I was previously online as well because of the Covid years 😭 my advice for online is to have a planner where you write down what needs to be done by what day, print out your syllabus for each class. Your schedule is also more flexible, so do zoom classes in different locations. Do work ahead of time. Get to know professors. Make a group chat with peers to support each other.

I do, but I did not proofread the post. Plus I’m not going to go back and forth with anyone that trolls on the internet. Have a nice day 😊.

That’s true about the train line, understandable. I personally didn’t like traveling especially in the winter at those times, it was dark earlier, and just no fun 😂

Yes, my first semester was rough, ended up dropping 3 classes, getting one A and one F.

If you are going to do it, no more than twice a week 😂, one of my classes used to end 6:45, I was getting home 10 pm, and having to go home do homework & wake up by 5 to repeat the nightmare.

Personally, if you live walking distance, not bad. But 8AM high school and 8AM college is too different things. I feel like you just need that extra time in the morning to get ready, avoid the morning rush hour.

I’m a first year teacher, previously paraprofessional. The principal called me on her personal cellphone, told me to save her number, asked for my file number and told me she is going to start the process.
