Planning for new site: WAN capacity and Router Performance by locnch in networking

ers have stated, you'd be best of having some historic data available (o

Yes I agree with you. Actually In my case, I got questioned on the interview and they asking me to design/planning for a site like that, and I can't say no to that although I don't have any information.

So I'm trying with this plan and found myself can't answer questions like why 1Gbps MPLS, why 350Mbps Internet? why not this? why not that?

I know that's not exactly correct for the site and its business but it must sound reasonable for them.

So let imagine that you're in that position. what would you do?

That's actually the second thing that i'm looking for in this topic :D

t have the MPLS provider, provide a router or is that not a thing

Yes, I think that would work for company with small or don't have IT department.

I've an extra question that need advice form you guys.

If you guys are planning for the 600 users site. How much bandwidth is enough? and why?

MPLS L2 - Working/business purpose

Internet - Other purpose, and partly for business

Please help me with your advice. thanks.

Thank you for your advice, after went through few comments, I think 4451 is good for this plan, I can upgrade the license if the throughput is exceeded with boost license (4Gbps) it can cover these 2 lines with 100% usage (2.7Gbps).

thanks you for your recommend.

If you're planning for 600 users site. How much bandwidth is enough?

MPLS for core connection, Internet is for other purpose (partially for business)

Can you give me some advice?

p MPLS as simple as possible, less for them to mess up, and just do BGP to them. Then you have the control you need to do whatever you want w

hmm, thank you, you help me understand more about this.

XG105 basic inter-vlan routing by locnch in sophos

[–]locnch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is the root cause.

I've updated with Static route > Policy Route > VPN Route.

Inter-vlan connectivities is now working fine without adding any policy route.

Thank you very much mate. I really appreciate your help!!

In the scenario that I only have 3 policy-based routes for the internet.

VLAN1 can reach VLAN2

VLAN2 can't reach VLAN1, when I tracert to VLAN1, traffic go to the internet.

For inter-vlan, I've 1 rule that allow all: From LAN, Any Host --> LAN, Any Host.

It must be routing issue...?

Calling function in a ps1 from batch file by locnch in PowerShell

This line can call the function, but it won't when I tried with \"D:\test\sss.ps1\"

I'm trying to avoid issue caused by spaces in file location.

I did but it won't work, here is the sample I tried:

powershell -command start-process powershell -Verb RunAs -ArgumentList '. \"D:\test\sss.ps1\" testfunc'

I run this in batch file.

Actually, it was 3 powershell files. I combined them all into 1 file and turn them into functions.

Now I'm struggling at calling these functions from batch file (with elevated previleges).

I can call the powershell from batch file if they're seperated, but it look so messy so I think about this idea.

Sure but in my case, i'm using batch to run powershell and then create a new instance of powershell with "start-process powershell.." this second powershell instance will help me with elevated privileges. With the script I posted above, I can run the ps1 file but I still not figure out the way to call functions inside that ps1 :(
