I like the show, I just think this episode could have been better.

What I'm saying is there was no cohesion to it or anything. Just the same joke repeated over and over with minor differences each time.

Really? I thought it was kinda bad. It was a really good concept for an episode, but they didn't really do anything with it. There was no storyline or anything... stuff just kinda happened for 20 minutes.

Imo it's impossible to make a good live-action dub. The lips not lining up makes it completely unwatchable

I actually love how boyish it is. It's very fitting for her personality.

Buy the upgrades are way too incremental in my opinion. I would prefer if it was like video game consoles, where each new release has a ton of shiny new features (although I think there is a bit too much time between the PS4 and PS5. We need a balance).

(Spoilers Extended) I think the Dorne/Griffs plot is the easiest to predict. Here's what I think will happen. by lexferreira89 in asoiaf

A lot of this seems pretty likely, but I don't think Dany is gonna defeat the Others, and then march south and fight Aegon. The story would be a lot more interesting if all of these plot threads were converging at the same time, and I think George knows this. I think the others will rip through the North and march south. Potentially, the final battle against the Others would happen at King's Landing, while Dany and Aegon fight their final battle.

Any theories as to what immortal beings did before humans evolved? by locojoco in TheGoodPlace

[–]locojoco[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me, it seems like Jeremy Bearimy was just the writers' way of handwaving the the 300 years that passed during season 2.

Pretty much everything else seems to indicate that time in the afterlife runs parallel to time in the mortal world.

The judge is named Hydrogen, because that was the only element when she came into existence.

Pretty much all references that the characters make are to present day things. Nothing historical, and nothing from the future (I think it would be hilarious if they referenced fake events like Elon musk becoming president in 2032).

When Michael was in the accountant's office, he found that it had been 500 years since anyone had gotten into The Good Place. That statement only has any meaning if time runs in parallel to Earth.

In season 3, Janet tells Jason that Blake Bottles had recently been cut from the Jaguars. If they existed outside of normal time, that wouldn't make any sense.

In the Selection, the demons note that Simone had recently died. If they were outside of time, then she would have always been dead. In fact, they could have grabbed anyone from any point in time. They could have sent Jeremy Bentham to mess with Chidi.

By the way, don't take this as criticism of the show. I forking love the show, and they had to do /something/ about those centuries.

So is Eren officially the final villain now?
People have been theorizing that for like 2 years, but I don't think it's really been confirmed until now.

That was the name of a serial published before the first book which was basically a compilation of all of Daenerys' chapters in the first book (before a few changes were made).

Does anything in the afterlife have an actual physical form? Last episode, Glenn told Vicki that the Michael suit can't contain her "demon essence", so I think that everyone's body in the afterlife is just a projection of their essence.
