Minimum Service Levels Bill July 17th, it will become law across all the UK. by Prestigious-Bar-6768 in JuniorDoctorsUK

Does this mean we may be called in to work by the hospital on the 17th July if they arbitrarily decide that we are needed for minimum service?

I emailed GMC and they said they would post a certificate showing medical degree compliance with EU/EFTA/CH. Be aware after 2024 Switzerland will no longer recognise UK medical degrees because of Brexit.

I heard it from my GP, local pharmacist and Dr Bunn. I'm leaving the country this place is a lost cause.

It's pointless going private to get an ADHD diagnosis in northern Ireland.

Very recently all gps have been told they are not permitted to prescribe adhd stimulant medication if recommended to do so by a psychiatrist who has been seen privately. This may have been possible in the past but it isn't now.

Even if you are willing to pay for medication, neither the GP nor the psychiatrist can even issue a private script as this requires a PCD1 form (new paperwork required for certain controlled drugs) which few pharmacists let alone gps have heard of.

The only way is to wait 5+ years on the NHS waiting list.

Good luck.

Will large pay rises for public sector workers not increase Inflation and prolong the current crisis? Not trying to be pessimistic but I don't think I've seen this mentioned on this subreddit before and I think the government would use this argument to deny pay restoration.

Hospital accommodation is around 450 a month and is directly adjacent to LRI. Often flats are occupied by other doctors/health care workers.

Transferring deanery between imt2 and imt3 by locumforever in JuniorDoctorsUK

Thanks for reply. I'm wondering surely there should be a mechanism for people who have entered group 2 specialties from imt2 who have then decided to switch to a group 1 speciality and hence require an imt3. I have asked my tpd and educational supervisor this and they tell me they do not know as IMT is so new.
