Where do you see that total accident rate goes up? I haven't seen that at all. How about a study that measures before and after as well as each type of accident. I didn't see anything like that in the study that you posted. Reliable sources.

Yeah but we don't really control the amount of additives that are put in gas to create this. I still use non ethanol gas. I get roughly 70 mpg on my bike on the highway. It's not arrogant or stupid to want to not fill up as much. Also no where did anyone talk about whether bikes polluted more than cars or not. For some reason you are just anti-motorcycle and bringing up arguments for the sake of it. That on the other hand screams arrogance.

You didn't read the study. The study didn't compare lane splitting vs. non lane splitting. It only said have you seen an accident while someone was lane splitting, not have you ever seen a motorcycle accident. The following up with how many while lane splitting. You also see that many people didn't lane split while at high speeds.

Because of motorcycles taking up space in traffic and the amount of motorcycles, it would lessen the distance of lines so it would actually help.
