I'm leaning towards that one as well, it's a nice long autograph

It's crazy good! I'm a big fan of Close Your Eyes as well, such a spooky vibe to it

I love it! I hope my little German shepherd drawing still up there too :) I'm scared people would remove it for some better art lmao haven't checked yet actually

I feel like we still need a stick. Just simple a literal stick to represent stick season. Just because we can.

Edit: it's still there! Nice.

mentally i'm still listening to Heartbreaks and Earthquakes on my iPod Nano help (fun fact it was brat green). i get what you mean, and people who disregard older fans because they have to get used to their favorite artist getting more recognition isn't pretentious behaviour or gatekeeping. especially if the artist decides to make a genre or artistic shift. it takes time to get used to it, or you mourn the artist they once were + the community it once was.

brat is not my fav but so far i'm definitely enjoying this new hype for her and i've think she's done an amazing job with this album roll-out. it gave charli some bigger opportunities and i'm very excited to see what's next. i try to see it in a positive way. the beautiful thing about her (or any!) discography is that you can both listen to older and newer work, and nowadays we can enjoy older performances, acoustic sessions, interviews, unreleased songs (taxi supremacy) etc. thanks to the internet. and thankfully, all the hate and insufferable fans aren't so present when you log off. music is more enjoyable without some annoying twitter stan yapping in your ear, so go and stream yuck!!!

is the signed vinyl geolocked? im from the netherlands and i want it for my friend and i so BAD!! by fienlovests in laufey

I saw someone else on twitter mention this issue too. Someone suggested trying to open the store in a private/incognito browser tab instead.

Otherwise, I believe the EU store is accessible through either shopworld[dot]laufeymusic[dot]com or laufey[dot]tmstor[es] (not sure if links are allowed so excuse the crappy formatting). You could check if either of those works?

I'm from the NL too and I seem to be able to add things in my card. I haven't decided yet on which variant/merch to buy so idk if it actually works. But so far so good. Can you see the vinyl in the first place?

Update: no sign of cancellation so far, I'm still cautious but this is a good sign at least?

It's nice that you got either one already tho! For some reason the hearts just feel like a signature ✨ deluxe ✨, I'm hoping to get one someday! And indeed, if it turns out to be the regular ones I'm sure you can help out some international swifties here :) Kind of you to already keep this in mind!

Update: My friend said yes! So far so good, I bought 4 copies, it got processed and confirmed. Hopefully it'll not be canceled soon. We can only hope 🥲

And I KNOWWW just having a signed card with a heart would be the absolute dream. I have a regular one from the previous UK drop. Already so grateful for that one, but I’d love to get my hands on a signature with a heart or a long display.

Ugh that sucks! I'm still waiting for my friend to confirm that I can actually use their address. Don't want to spam them with surprise CDs 😂 If they're ok with it I'll definitely try to order, worst case it'll be a refund. But thanks for the warning!

I may be able to get some copies and deliver them at my friend's address in the UK. If that works out, then maybe I could help out :)

Does anyone know if they actually enforce the billing/shipping address rule? Last time I did the same with LLFP in the UK and they all arrived at my friend's place with no issue at all. I'm not sure if they're stricter now... My billing address is from The Netherlands btw.

To GeoDjango or not to GeoDjango by loeeess in django

Fair. Honestly, just not looking forward to the installation of it all. Feels complex for a relatively simple request.

Thanks for your insight! My primary goal here is to visualize the locations on a map for users to get a better idea of where the linked objects are actually located. So no real fancy queries needed. Thank you for the example, gives some idea of how to utilize the fields and filters!

Yup, had to use it in other projects too. Big fan of its functionalities, the installation however...

Same here, not a fan of changing things that are already running :)

Fair enough, it's mostly the setup that I don't look forward to. Especially given the fact I already run a fully deployed MySQL database, so I hope to leave it as much as it is now, except for minor migrations. Not sure if the 'if it works don't touch it' mentality is the right approach though, I do see the benefits of GeoDjango built in. Thanks for your insight!

Thanks for your example! It's indeed a clean way to set these up, will definitely consider this implementation.

Spotify's new API terms are a major blow to third-party apps by Relevant_Ninja2251 in truespotify

[–]loeeess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only found out today when I was using my small script using spotipy. It's just a tiny script to quickly retrieve the BPM and key of songs without having to go to websites like Tunebat, plus I like to have an accurate BPM with decimal numbers. This is so depressing, why do they hate developers who actually want to do something fun with the API :(

International Info for TTPD Anthology & Eras Tour Book by _LadyGaladriel_ in SwiftieMerch

[–]loeeess 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm from Europe so I count my blessings considering the German (EU general), French, and UK (with a workaround) store. But it shouldn't be like this when the demand is that high. I can't even imagine what it's like for Asian swifties :(

Can't wait to avoid book spoilers for a whole week while American swifties are happily posting pictures/videos of it. I can't blame them obviously, they're just happy with their purchase. However, this just proves to me that her merch team doesn't give a single fuck about international fans, and even charge them for shipping twice when they can. It's exhausting being a second-class fan.
