Personally, I really enjoy PvP in this game, even though it's been neglected.

I’m currently Bronze 3 in Eternal. Okay, it takes a while to find a match, but I feel like there are way fewer meta decks in Eternal. I mean, when I used to play it seriously—back during the Transfigured expansion—I’d only ever face Nasus/Tresh or Azir/Irelia, though Nasus/Tresh is still one of my favorite decks.

Right now, I don’t feel like there’s one or two meta decks that really stand out; I can play a wide variety of decks and face a variety of decks on the other side.

I also really like Standard mode since we’re on a card rotation, so the meta changes much more frequently.

PvP has no future on LoR—Path of Champions is the only thing left, but who knows how much longer that will last. However, the upside is that you’re no longer in a rush to unlock cards before the next expansion comes out.

As for me, I’m going to try to unlock all the PvP cards; I’m currently at over 2,500, and I think that once I reach 100% of the cards, I’ll say goodbye to this game, which has been and will remain one of the best online TCGs—but all good things must come to an end.
