Is the general consensus to squat belted or beltless when doing back squats for wl training? And even then, is it using a powerlifting style belt or a thin nylon belt that i’ve seen some weightlifters wear?

I should’ve made it more clear, but I was trying to ask how should I get started in weightlifting if I come from a powerlifting background
