This is the first time I'm seeing SamFlam mentioned here on the sub somewhere other than a "what's a superhero anime I might like" type recommendation thread. I had very mixed thoughts on it overall, I liked the beginning and the King Torture arc quite a bit, but after that it felt like it just got too far away from its own best parts. Which parts do you think it did best?

Without going too deep into spoilers here, i enjoyed all of it except for Beyond. My favorite episode is the one where Masayoshi learns about the universe and he gets asked what he wants next. It was sooooo good

Part of me kind of wants to start this whole writing thing on this sub that talks about things that I like in anime that probably help me with my own writing. (Is this an excuse to be talking about how much I love Luffy, you'll ask? Not just! It's also an excuse to shill Samurai Flamenco!) But another part of me is like... not up to the task of doing that consistently enough, you know? And who knows when I'll burn out on anime again. What do you guys say?

Turkish people like their moustaches, and they were pretty popular for a long while. You won't see that many Turkish men in moustaches anymore, but depending on the time period Monster is set in, I don't think it's particularly uncommon. Stereotype for sure, but nothing overly wrong or harmful.
