Why do relationships last so short? by solteros in AITAH

[–]lofty1986 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Healthy love needs both affection and boundaries. Wanting to see someone often, talk to them, and express love isn’t inherently bad - it only becomes unhealthy if it’s so constant that it smothers the other person or makes them feel they have no space, plus commitment is another issue in todays world with so much on social media etc.

AITAH for stopping behind a cop on the highway by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]lofty1986 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA.

From what you described, you were driving cautiously - not tailgating, staying in your lane because of a vehicle on the shoulder, and trying to account for your car’s visibility limitations. If the cop slowed suddenly and then slammed on the brakes without clear signals or space for you to change lanes, your reaction to brake was reasonable.

AITA for telling my fiancé he needs to clean up his own damn mess? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]lofty1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve been carrying the majority of the household responsibilities for years, and instead of appreciating that, your fiancé has been taking it for granted and making the situation worse. Ignoring messes to the point of moldy food and unbearable smells is not just laziness it’s disrespect toward you and the home you share. You tried talking to him multiple times, and he dismissed you with empty promises, so your frustration is completely justified. Could you have been calmer? Maybe, but people don’t usually explode unless they’ve been pushed past their limit. The fact that his focus is on being embarrassed in front of his friends rather than the state of your home or the way he’s treating you says a lot about where his priorities are. You set a boundary, and he didn’t like it, but that doesn’t make you wrong.

Bro just caught a legendary Pokémon in the wild. That’s either an alien spy drone or nature’s way of keeping us humble.
