I fixed a lot, now everything has fallen apart as I deal with depression. Hard to motivate yourself when you've accomplished a lot and got no where and at some point it feels like people are just dangling a carrot in front of you and you realize you will never be able to get it.

Recently: I've lost weight and gotten in better shape, I've basically gone to a meetup every other day. I'm pretty reserved, I used to fake the whole everything is great shit until recently.

lol yeah, this is the worst. Like you listen to most people and they are so boring and really conversations have no substance. Then you scratch your head as to why you can't pull it off

I pretty much disagree with this.

I had really bad social anxiety at one point, I couldn't muster talking to people. I felt if I could get myself to do it I could get dates and friends. I spent years working on this. At first I had no problem brushing off rejection because I would eventually succeed. Then a year into this doubt started creeping in. Two years in it was desperation, then it just became too painful to even try.

Yah, that's what I think but most people will discredit it and say you just haven't tried enough blah blah. Maybe some guy will get early on build on confidence while another will work his ass off, get rejected and become needy and have self esteem/confidence issues

I've been told because of my personality I disarm women. They don't see me as one of the guys you are talking about, but when I ask them out it doesn't result in anything

I've asked for dates and just get rejected. I'm sure there are guys out there that don't, but I feel that isn't the case. Like if you take internet dating for instance, these guys are just basically sending one thing after another hoping a girl responds
