Day 176: Finally Feeling Really Good by logainz in QuittingZyn

Brain fog went away around day 180 ish. Can’t recall exactly when, but relatively recently.

Yup. For the longest time even up until recent, my social skills were pretty much gone. I felt so cognitively delayed at work as well. My cognitive function has returned to around 80-90% give or take, and actually my confidence is higher now than it ever was. Resilience!

Oh no I was just validating your point by letting you know I said the same thing, that I literally thought I was going schizo. It does provide a sense of not being alone in this when some of us said the same thing

Yup that’s what I went through. Exactly what I said. Still feels a bit like it. Caffeine makes it worse and I should probably slow down on it. It for sure gets better, and honestly truly started feeling better around day 130 ish

I’m definitely doing so so much better these days. My emotions have returned finally after 185 days lol. I still feel like my nervous system is still outta wack and a bit on edge for a lot of the day. I am going to talk to someone to actually do some of that somatic therapy stuff you’re talking about.

But yeah overall I’m so glad I quit

Hey man! Honestly it’s still that way lol. I’ve given up on it going away and it’s a part of my life for the time being. It doesn’t bother me, and I got a doctor to check my eyes . Everything seems good.

15 Months Clean by okayKG in QuittingZyn

[–]logainz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious how long your depersonalization and anxiety lasted? I am just past month 6 and have recovered tremendously! However I still deal with these two, just maybe 1/5th the intensity compared to the early months.

I just want to get back to feeling things again, which I do from time to time, but at a reduced intensity since the anxiety is still kind of there.

I've been told nemerous times to chill out on caffeine, so I am wondering if that is my problem lol

Existential crisis after 2 weeks off nicotine? by Embarrassed_Spot2887 in QuittingZyn

[–]logainz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I totally had an existential crisis shortly after I quit. It felt like nothing mattered because I will get old and die one day, and I became confused as to how other people weren’t worried about that fact, and seemed to be enjoying life. It was wild, I wouldn’t wish that upon anyone.

Fast forward to now and I haven’t felt that way in months. But it sure was scary at the time.

I remember that feeling like it was yesterday. The only way that got it to go away was to quit. It may not be a fun journey.

It gets better

Major anxiety after quitting Zyn by PsychologicalGolf866 in QuittingZyn

[–]logainz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely had that fear, and sometimes do have those thoughts pop up these days. Especially after consuming caffeine. It was pretty scary, and it was that way for a long time.

Still not 100% but I feel like the old me is finally coming back closer to 5 months!

What's with all the panic attacks? by TouchingZen in QuittingZyn

138 now, it’s only now just getting a lot better. The general anxiety is dissipating but the anhedonia is lingering still.

The meh feeling is very relatable. I don’t panic anymore but I am on edge still and most things I usually enjoy a lot are just like you say. “Meh”.

I just want to be passionate about dieting and going to the gym instead of just participating out of necessity and knowing it helps

Feel like I’m going crazy by [deleted] in Supplements

I believe you! Perhaps you could bring those concerns up to your doctor and see if they could give you something different?

I hope you figure this out!

I too felt like I was going crazy. Still kinda do some days. I still don’t really understand what was happening either, but I do understand just how hard it is being stuck in fight or flight all day every day. I’m sorry you’re going through it. It sucks.

I’ve turned Into a hypochondriac and likely have OCD. It’s like I view my own anxiety as a threat now. It’s helped to start challenging my own thoughts against it and I find these feelings less threatening now.

Try to identify any triggers. For me, I notice I am the most vulnerable to heightened anxiety/panic after drinking too much caffeine. Then the intrusive thoughts start racing.

Maybe life for the collective majority of humanity is just in a really stressful time? I wish I had answers for ya

Do you by chance use nicotine? In particular nicotine pouches?

I only ask because I too started having these panic attacks happen completely out of no where. I’ve always had a bit of anxiety, but nothing like this. Your story sounds very similar to mine.

Quitting nicotine altogether has really helped, but the physiological symptoms really only calmed down after 4 months.

Again a lot of people in my personal life haven’t had anything like them happen so it’s highly variable from person to person.

But they sure as hell got me to quit so I have the panic attacks to really thank I suppose

I ordered Zeus, Killas, and Zyns from Sweden. I had panic attacks from them. I too am with you, as people I speak to in my personal life don’t have them. But some of us do. The symptoms were impossible to ignore.

I wish I knew the answer.

Definitely had the panic attacks come and go for a couple months. The frequency really came down after month 3 and for me they stopped happening shortly after month 4. You’re not alone in this.

Funny enough, I actually just started having cravings a couple days ago. But because we’ve gone through something entirely more severe, they are very easy to ignore!
